Monday Night Football returns after a nine-month hiatus. The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets go head-to-head in the NFL game tonight with an AFC East showdown to end Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season. While the Bills look to keep their AFC East dominance alive, the Jets have a newfound hope for the 2023 season after some offseason transactions.
What is the Monday Night Football channel, and when does the game kick off? Here’s how to watch the Monday Night Football season opener, including the start time, TV channel, and live stream options.
What Channel Airs the NFL Game Tonight?

For those without standard cable options, the game can be found on ESPN+, YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV, just for a few options. Here’s how to watch the NFL game tonight.

The expectations are high in the Big Apple for the 2023 season. After a few seasons of poor QB play, the Jets made the move to trade for four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers this offseason.
The 18-year veteran has many weapons around him in New York, including 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year WR Garrett Wilson and equally talented second-year RB Breece Hall. While the Jets should have no problems getting production from their playmakers, the offensive line could be problematic.

Both tackles, Duane Brown and Mehki Becton, enter the game banged up with a questionable injury designation. The Green Bay Packers had solid coverage for most of Rodgers’ career. But even in an off-year in 2022, Jets QBs were pressured 88 more times than Rodgers was in Green Bay.
Protection will be paramount as the Bills’ defense has allowed scores on just 29% of opponents’ drives since 2021, the best in the NFL. Buffalo has an incredibly deep front seven, even with Von Miller on the Physically Unable to Perform list (PUP) still rehabbing a knee injury.
The Jets’ offensive line gets a significant test in Week 1 as the Bills’ defense combined for 40 sacks and 114 pressures in 2022. Keeping Rodgers upright and healthy will be essential for the Jets’ offensive success this year.
