Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn is no stranger to head coaching conversations.
In the offseason, he has interviewed with the Seattle Seahawks, Washington Commanders, Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers, and Tennessee Titans.
But with multiple teams interested in Quinn, what would be his ideal landing spots?
Top Two Landing Spots for Dan Quinn
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks are the most apparent option for Quinn, who has a history with the team.
He was with the Seahawks from 2013 to 2014 as the team’s defensive coordinator. He led the team during the notorious Legion of Boom era.
Quinn led the top Seahawks’ defense to two consecutive Super Bowl appearances and won Super Bowl XLIX against the Broncos.
Pete Carroll will still be working with the team this season, so not only would it be an easy transition, but the two have worked together before.
Under Quinn, the team could start to rebuild, especially if they entertain any Geno Smith trade talks this offseason. Seattle’s defense needs the most work, especially in the trenches. However, Quinn could help find versatile talent to help beef up the downfalls on the defense.
Washington Commanders
Although it would be difficult for the Cowboys to see Quinn leave and stay in the NFC East, the Commanders could be a viable option.
The Commanders are moving on from Ron Rivera after the last four seasons. Quinn would have the power to rebuild the organization completely to eventually be up to par with his expectations.

Although the payoff might take time for Quinn if he takes this route, it would be a long-term investment for him and the organization. He has a track record with rebuilding culture and creating success as a head coach, like he did in Atlanta, even leading them to a Super Bowl before his departure.
With Sam Howell being young and impressionable, Quinn could be the perfect fit to ensure the quarterback continues to grow in the right ways.
The Commanders are also planning to have Quinn in for a second interview.
The #Commanders plan to bring in #Cowboys DC Dan Quinn in for a second, in-person interview, per source.
Quinn will be busy, with plans to meet with the #Titans on Wednesday and the #Seahawks on Thursday.
