Week one of the NFL season is officially over and the handicapping team here at Pro Football Network is already on to week two! We had exceptional success across all platforms (Against the Spread podcast, live twitter posts, gambling articles) even though the first week of the NFL season is considered the most volatile. As we recapped in our weekly Sheep Report, the handicapping team made over two units of profit through its articles. Combining all aspects of the All-Access Pass, we made over $200 of profit.
With little time to rest, our expert handicapper Chris Smith has decided to release his Thursday night play early. The lines are moving fast so make sure you jump on this one as soon as possible.
Carolina -0.5 & UNDER 56 (-120) risk $30 to win $25
Tommy Teaser returns early in week two with one of our favorite plays of the week. Home teams have dominated on Thursday nights the past few seasons, and I already believe the Panthers are a vastly more talented team than the Buccaneers.
The only thing keeping me from giving the 6.5 points against the spread with Carolina is the opportunity to tease the under. I don’t see a shootout here. I expect Jameis Winston to be more cognizant of protecting the ball coming off his double pick-six performance last weekend at home against the 49ers.
I could be talked into a potential Carolina -6.5 & UNDER 50 parlay at about +260 odds depending on the sportsbook available come game night. Although line movement suggests the sharp money will drive the Panthers number towards a touchdown or more by Thursday.
