Fantasy RB Injury Report: The biggest injury question marks heading into Week 14
What is the latest on Myles Gaskin and the Dolphins RBs?
After having a strong Week 13 return following a stint on injured reserve, Gaskin was poised to head into a Week 14 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. Unfortunately, news broke on Saturday that Gaskin was placed on the team’s reserve list and will be forced to miss this weekend’s game. On top of that, Salvon Ahmed was ruled out earlier this week with a shoulder injury, and Matt Breida was not activated from the team’s reserve list before the 4 PM EST deadline on Saturday. DeAndre Washington is in line for the start.
Who will be active for the Jets at RB in Week 14?
Sunday, December 13th: Frank Gore is active for the New York Jets Week 14 matchup.
After suffering a concussion in Week 13, Frank Gore was a question mark coming into this week of practice. Ty Johnson played well in Gore’s absence and was in-line for the start should Gore miss this weekend’s game. It appears that won’t be necessary following Gore practicing in full on Friday. Gore remains listed as questionable, so be sure to check back closer to kick off before finalizing your fantasy lineup.
Could another RB be joining the Seahawks rotation?
Sunday, December 13th: Rashaad Penny was not activated ahead of the Seahawks Week 14 matchup
After being designated to return from injured reserve earlier this week, it appears that Rashaad Penny could be close to returning for the Seahawks. It looks like he has a chance to return very soon.
After missing the past five games due to a knee injury, Jackson was activated by the Chargers from the injured reserve. He will be eligible to play in Week 14 but will find himself competing for work with starter Austin Ekeler and fellow running backs Joshua Kelley and Kalen Ballage. Jackson won’t be fantasy football-relevant in his first week back in an already-deep running back group.
David Johnson, Houston Texans (Illness)
After being absent from practice on Friday due to a “personal” reason, per interim head coach Romeo Crennel, Johnson was placed on the team’s reserve list. He will not be eligible to play in the team’s Week 14 matchup. Duke Johnson will once again assume a larger role out of the team’s backfield in his teammate’s absence.
James Robinson, Jacksonville Jaguars (knee)
Sunday, December 13th: James Robinson is active for the Jacksonville Jaguars Week 14 matchup.
Robinson was limited in practice throughout the week ahead of his team’s Week 14 game. He was limited once again on Friday but was removed from their injury report and carries no injury designation. The rookie sensation is in line to be active and once again handle his normal bell-cow workload. He can be safely kept in fantasy football lineups as we head into the first week of playoffs.
Fantasy RB Injury Report Week 14: NFC Players
Ezekiel Elliott, Dallas Cowboys (calf)
Sunday, December 13th: Ezekiel Elliott is active for the Dallas Cowboys Week 14 matchup.
Elliott was limited in practice all week leading up to their Week 14 match-up against the Cincinnati Bengals. He was listed as “questionable” on the team’s final injury report on Friday.

On late Saturday night though, it was reported that Elliott is expected to play, per Todd Archer of ESPN.com. In a plus-matchup and still receiving a lion’s share of the running back touches, Elliott can be trusted as a high-end RB2 in fantasy football for Week 14.
D’Andre Swift, Detroit Lions (illness)
Sunday, December 13th: D’Andre Swift is active for the Detroit Lions Week 14 matchup.
Swift cleared concussion protocol last week but has been dealing with an undisclosed illness over the past couple of weeks. He was “limited” on Wednesday and Thursday before logging a “full” practice on Friday. Swift is expected to play in Week 14 after being listed as “questionable”, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. The impressive rookie can be put back in fantasy football lineups as a low-end RB2. However, his workload could be limited.
Alexander Mattison, Minnesota Vikings (illness)
Mattison is on the Week 14 RB injury report because he missed last week’s game as he was recovering from an appendectomy. After sitting out of practice all week once again, he was listed as “out” in advance of Week 14. With Mattison’s absence, Dalvin Cook is expected to once again see 25-30 touches this weekend for the Vikings. He is safely a top-three option once again heading into the first round of fantasy football playoffs.
Antonio Gibson, Washington Football Team (toe)
Gibson was listed as “out” for Week 14 after being listed as a non-participant all week in practice. He is considered to be week-to-week right now. Peyton Barber will continue to handle the early-down and goal-line carries for Washington while J.D. McKissic will be the team’s top receiving option out of the backfield. Barber will be a mid-tier RB3 while McKissic will be a low-end RB2 in PPR leagues.
