The Minnesota Vikings have several decisions to make this offseason, including whether to keep or let quarterback Sam Darnold go, whether to bring running back Aaron Jones back and more.
According to PFSN’s Ben Rolfe, the Vikings will, at the very least, have some solution at the running back position. He predicts the NFC North squad will take Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson at No. 75 overall in the third round.
This pick comes after the Vikings received pick No. 75 from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for pick No. 97 and a 2026 third-round pick in this seven-round mock draft.

Ben Rolfe’s TreVeyon Henderson-to-Vikings Analysis
The Vikings ranked 19th in rushing yards per game during the 2024 regular season at 109.1. Adding Henderson would address that and give the Vikings a “dual-threat back,” per Rolfe.
Here’s Rolfe’s complete analysis:
“While all the focus this offseason will be on the quarterback position, the running back should not be forgotten for the Vikings. Aaron Jones may well be back on a short-term deal, but the Vikings need a long-term solution to work alongside J.J. McCarthy. Trading up for a running back is risky, but TreVeyon Henderson may well be worth it.
Henderson is a dual-threat back who can be effective both in space as a pass catcher and as a power back in a more traditional role. He would benefit from playing alongside a similar style of player in Jones for a year but could also thrive if thrown straight in as a starter in 2025.”
Henderson’s College Production
Henderson played for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2021 to 2024.
Across 47 games, Henderson ran 590 times for 3,761 yards and 42 touchdowns. In the passing game, he caught 77 passes for 853 yards and six touchdowns.
In all, he had 667 touches for 4,614 yards and 48 touchdowns.
As a senior, running alongside fellow top-tier running back Quinshon Judkins, Henderson had 144 carries for 1016 yards (7.1 yards per carry) and 10 touchdowns.

Rolfe mentions that the Vikings could bring Jones back, which may not be a bad idea, considering Henderson hasn’t run more than 183 times in any season. He logged 183 carries as a freshman. Since then, his highest in a single season was 156 as a junior.
Across his 590 carries, 103 were for 10 yards or more. He also had 130 missed tackles forced across his career.
Henderson’s 3,761 yards are the fifth-most in Ohio State history. In 2021, he ran for 277 yards in a game against Tulsa, the third-most in a single game for the Buckeyes.
Additionally, his 42 rushing touchdowns are sixth-most.
