Updated Super Bowl Odds: Chiefs and Eagles Are Now Betting Co-Favorites

Only once in NFL history have the same two teams played each other in the Super Bowl in consecutive years — the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills in 1993 and 1994. There are still plenty of games left this season, but according to the Super Bowl odds, we might have another rematch, as the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are now co-favorites.

Week 9 Super Bowl Odds: Chiefs and Eagles Now Co-Favorites

Currently, at FanDuel Sportsbook, the Chiefs and Eagles are tied with the shortest Super Bowl odds at +500 apiece. The Eagles have the best record in the NFL at 7-1; meanwhile, the Chiefs, even after a loss to the Denver Broncos, are one of four 6-2 teams. Before yesterday’s loss, however, the Chiefs were on a six-game winning streak, and as long as they have Patrick Mahomes, they’ll be among the top favorites at the very least.

Not too far behind the Eagles and Chiefs are the San Francisco 49ers (+600), Miami Dolphins (+950), and Dallas Cowboys (+1000).

This Sunday, the Cowboys and Eagles will be facing off in Philadelphia in a divisional matchup that could have a big impact on the Super Bowl odds. If the Eagles improve to 8-1 heading into their bye, that puts them in an ideal situation in their pursuit of the No. 1 seed.

However, after their bye week, the Eagles have an incredibly tough schedule, as their next six games are against the Chiefs, Bills, 49ers, Cowboys, and Seahawks. How the Eagles come out of that gauntlet of a schedule will give us an even better idea of their Super Bowl chances, as they’ll be facing four of the seven top contenders by FanDuel’s odds, as well as a 5-2 Seahawks team who can’t be dismissed from the conversation just yet.

Super Bowl odds vary from each sportsbook, as each operator adjusts the lines based on their own liability. It is no surprise to see different odds at DraftKings than FanDuel. Currently, at DraftKings Sportsbook, the Chiefs are the sole favorites at +500, and despite their three-game losing streak and falling to second place in their division, the 49ers (+550) have slightly shorter Super Bowl odds than the Eagles (+600).
