2024 UFL Power Rankings: Birmingham Stallions, St. Louis Battlehawks Atop the Rankings

    Published on

With the UFL season kicking off this weekend, here is a look at the power rankings as the teams look to get the season started on the right path.

When fans start talking football, power rankings are always a good way to discuss and break down the best teams. With the UFL season kicking off this year, here is a look at the UFL power rankings as we enter Week 1.

    Week 1 UFL Power Rankings

    1. Birmingham Stallions

The Stallions have one of the elite playmakers in the league in Deon Cain. The former Clemson star scored three touchdowns in the USFL championship last season. Cain teams up with Amari Rodgers and Gary Jennings Jr. to form one of the best receiving trios in the UFL. Gunslinger quarterback Matt Corral has a chance for a special season in Birmingham.

    2. St. Louis Battlehawks

AJ McCarron is back, and he once again should be considered the best quarterback in the league. He had a terrific season last year, throwing for an XFL record 24 touchdowns. With a receiving core that will rival the Stallions’ or anybody else’s in the league; McCarron again will be in the MVP race.

    3. Arlington Renegades

Luis Perez is back at quarterback, coming off an impressive run in the XFL playoffs last year. In the two playoff games, he went 2-0, throwing for 577 yards and six touchdowns. No team will have a better punter in the league, as the Renegades have former Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King.

    4. D.C. Defenders

The Defenders have star power, as quarterback Jordan Ta’amu is as talented of a quarterback as there is in the league. Wide receiver Keke Coutee is a former NFL player who should be able to make some big plays on offense. For the defense, the team has its swagger back in safety D.J. Swearinger.

    5. Memphis Showboats

The Showboats will be led on offense by Case Cookus, who has the ability to be a top-three quarterback in the league. Last year, he was the most-sacked quarterback in the USFL, so the team went out and rebuilt the roster. USFL Special Teams Player of the Year Derrick Dillon is back, who will give the team a guy capable of changing field position at any time.

    6. Houston Roughnecks

The Roughnecks are led on offense by last year’s USFL Offensive Player of the Year Mark Thompson. He will help take some pressure off of quarterback Kenji Bahar, who had an up-and-down season last year. There is talent on this team, but it may take a few weeks for the Roughnecks to get things going.

    7. San Antonio Brahamas

It was a struggle last season, but there is reason to be optimistic for San Antonio fans this year. Quarterback Jack Coan has proven to be a very good quarterback, having starred at Notre Dame in 2021. Kade Warner, the son of NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner has a chance to be one of the better wide receivers in the league.

    8. Michigan Panthers

Another team that had a tough year, it feels like it might be another tough season for coach Mike Nolan. The overall team talent of the Panthers is not on the same level as some of these other teams.
