Hill Commits to Miami: ‘I Don’t Want to Go Nowhere’

During a live Super Bowl special episode of “Up & Adams,” Hill addressed a number of topics. After calling Patrick Mahomes “the GOAT of this era,” Hill addressed his future in Miami with an emphatic statement of loyalty. When asked if he wants to remain with the Dolphins, he made his feelings clear.

“I do,” Hill said. “I don’t want to go nowhere. I love it, my family loves it, kids absolutely love being on the beach every morning… we are really building something special in Miami.”

It’s a reassuring message for Dolphins fans, who were worried about losing the superstar wide receiver.

Despite the turbulence, Hill remains all-in on Miami and the culture that head coach Mike McDaniel is fostering.

This season, Hill appeared in 17 games, recording 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns.

Thriving in Miami: Hill’s Dominance Since the Trade

When Hill was traded from Kansas City to Miami in 2022, many questioned whether he could still produce at an elite level without Mahomes. Three years later, those doubts have been erased.

Hill wasted no time proving he could be a top-tier receiver outside of Kansas City. In his first season with Miami, he shattered career highs, posting 1,710 receiving yards and eight total touchdowns to earn first-team All-Pro honors.

In 2023, he put up 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns. His chemistry with Tua Tagovailoa has been electric, and he’s remained one of the most unguardable weapons in football. While his numbers dipped a bit in 2024, this was largely due to Tagovailoa missing time with a concussion.

Hill has made it clear that he wants to win, so now he’s determined to lead Miami on a deep playoff run and turn the team into an AFC contender.

Hill’s recommitment to Miami comes at a crucial time. The Dolphins are coming off a season that fell short of expectations, and with an aging roster in certain areas, big decisions loom this offseason.

However, as long as Hill remains the focal point of their offense, the Dolphins will have a chance to compete with the AFC’s elite.

With free agency and the NFL Draft approaching, Miami’s front office will need to try to put some more key pieces around Hill to maximize the remainder of his prime years.
