Tyreek Hill Turns Heads, Scares Dolphins Fans With 5-Word Reaction To Multiple Star WR’s Demanding Trades

Could Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill be on his way out of South Beach amid a wild offseason day for NFL wideouts?

During a chaotic spur of free agency movement, both players and fans have taken to social media to express their thoughts. An eventful day in Seattle saw the Seahawks cut ten-year veteran wideout Tyler Lockett. Shortly after, their other wide receiver, DK Metcalf, requested a trade.

Seattle WR Room Shakeup Felt Around NFL

The shockwaves from Seattle were felt in Miami, where the Dolphins star receiver, Tyreek Hill, took to X to share his thoughts.

The one-time Super Bowl champion startled Dolphin fans and prompted an eruption of comments on his post. With the vague yet eye-opening comment, some believe Hill could be on the move. The 5-foot-10 wideout has been in Miami for three years now and would shock the NFL world if he were to move again.

Could Cheetah Be Following Suit With Other NFL Wideouts?

While Hill played all 17 games in 2024, for the first time in his career, he could not eclipse 1,000-plus receiving yards when playing 15 or more contests. Hill’s six touchdown receptions also tied a career low. This dates back to his rookie season, where he scored six with Kansas City.

As Hill enters his tenth NFL season, his numbers may have declined, but they have not completely fallen off. This means the eight-time pro bowler is not ready to call it quits but rather a potential change of scenery.

Hill’s Influence With Loaded Miami Offense

The Dolphins’ second-place finish in the AFC East came with an 8-9 record and an absence from the playoffs. With plenty of weapons at their skill positions, Miami was riddled with injuries all season. None more critical than Tua Tagovailoa’s season on and off the field. PFSN’s Sterling Xie discusses the Dolphin’s offense with and without Tua.

“Apart from a Week 17 win that looks like an outlier, the Dolphins were dreadful in the six games Tua didn’t start. Miami went 2-4 while averaging 13.3 points per game and -0.23 EPA per play — both figures would have ranked last over the whole season.

“De’Von Achane looked nothing short of special during his sophomore season, but the much-hyped receiving corps fell apart. Tyreek Hill fell short of 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since 2019 and averaged 56.4 receiving yards per game, his fewest since his rookie year in 2016.”

These stats come from PFSN’s 2024 offense rankings, where Miami finished middle of the pack at 15h. Their 76.3 (C) ranking plots them as an incredibly average offensive side. Again, to no surprise, as they were without their starting quarterback for several weeks.

With Tagovailoa in the lineup all season long, it is arguable that Hill eclipses 1,000 yards with ease, and this conversation of a potential move is not happening. However, that is not the case, and Hill’s status remains unknown, with more cryptic X posts undoubtedly on the way.
