Drew Rosenhaus Avoids Pat McAfee’s Question About Tyreek Hill

Host Pat McAfee wasted no time, diving headfirst into Hill’s postgame comments after the Week 18 debacle and how they should be interpreted. Rosenhaus seemingly avoids McAfee’s question, rewinding the clock to training camp and sharing a story that paints Hill as the epitome of dedication.

“Let’s back up to training camp,” Rosenhaus said. “Tyreek’s scrimmaging with the Washington Commanders, and he breaks his wrist.”

Doctors recommended immediate surgery, warning that playing through the pain could have long-term effects on Hill’s career. But Hill refused their guidance.

“Tyreek said, ‘Hey, the heck with it. I’m a team guy; I’m going for it,’” Rosenhaus recalled. Refusing to sit out the season, Hill played through the pain, a decision that undoubtedly impacted his performance but showcased his unwavering commitment.

Rosenhaus quickly defended Hill’s passion: “Tyreek is very passionate. Anyone I’ve ever represented, that is great, was passionate. They cared. What you see with Tyreek is very genuine. He wants to win. It’s not good enough for him not to make the playoffs.”

Dolphins Not Worried About Hill’s Postgame Comments

Rosenhaus, who has represented Hill since his second NFL season in 2017, emphasized the strong relationship between his client and the Dolphins organization. According to Rosenhaus, Hill’s recent meeting with Dolphins general manager Chris Grier and head coach Mike McDaniel was “excellent.”

“I think, at the end of the day, he’s committed to this Dolphins football team,” Rosenhaus affirmed. “He had an excellent meeting with Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel. I believe that Tyreek is a great asset to the Dolphins, and he’s the least guy people should be worried about for this organization. They have many more worries — Tyreek Hill is not one of them.”

Rosenhaus Denies Trade Talks With Hill, Dolphins

After two minutes of Rosenhaus skirting the issue, McAfee brought the conversation back to the original question, asking whether the Dolphins could move past Hill’s postgame comments. Rosenhaus, once again, turned the focus to Hill’s character and contributions to the team.

“Throw out the comments after the game,” he urged. “You’re emotional. The guys on the team know Tyreek is a competitor; he’s there for them. [Rosenhaus Sports] represent 13 guys on this team, and not one has a complaint about Tyreek.”

Despite McAfee’s persistence, Rosenhaus skillfully sidestepped any confirmation or denial of trade rumors. “We have not discussed that,” he claimed, leaving the speculation unresolved.

While Rosenhaus refused to give a definitive answer regarding Hill’s angst with Miami, his remarks painted a picture of a player committed to his team and passionate about winning. Whether the Dolphins can channel that passion into future success remains to be seen, but Rosenhaus made one thing clear: Hill isn’t a problem for Miami.

    Or is he?
