Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, nicknamed “Cheetah,” couldn’t resist taking a dig at Olympic champion Noah Lyles, who nearly stumbled against YouTube star IShowSpeed in a $100,000 50-meter dash.
Tyreek Hill Doesn’t Think Noah Lyles Can Beat Him
Lyles, who won the 100m gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics, barely edged out Speed in a race, with the internet questioning the Olympic champion’s dominance. While Lyles got off to a slow start, he relied on his signature burst in the final meters to seal the victory, but Speed didn’t make it easy, leading him to call it a “tie” afterward.
The NFL speedster, who’s dazzled defenses over the years on the gridiron, wasted no time in taking to X to poke fun at Lyles. Responding to a clip of the race, Hill tweeted, “And track athletes think he gone beat me 😂😂😂,” reigniting his ongoing rivalry with the Olympic sprinter.

As fans eagerly await their face-off, it’s clear that neither athlete is backing down in this war of speed and words.
Tyreek Hill vs. Noah Lyles Rivalry Explored
The Tyreek Hill vs. Noah Lyles rivalry has taken center stage, fueled by a back-and-forth on social media. It all started when Olympic gold medalist Lyles took a jab at the NFL by questioning whether Super Bowl champions could truly call themselves “world champions.”
Hill, the NFL’s speed king, responded quickly, challenging Lyles to a 50-yard race: “Sign the contract and lock in that 50-yard race.”

Lyles, however, wasn’t interested in Hill’s terms. Instead, he countered that any showdown must exceed his preferred 100 meters.
“He’s challenging me. We’re racing in the 100, we can race. If he’s truly serious about it. If he’s truly serious about it, and I’m not talking about you’re just talking on the internet … you’ll see me on the track,” Lyles said on an episode of the Nightcap podcast.

Hill has posted incredible speeds on the field, including reaching 23.24 mph as a rookie, a Next Gen Stat record. On the other hand, Lyles isn’t any amateur either, with a 100m personal best of 9.83 seconds set at the 2023 World Championships.
As the debate rages on, only time will tell who truly owns the title of fastest man.
