Tyreek Hill surprised NFL fans with his reaction to fellow WR DeAndre Hopkins being traded to his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill has ruffled a few feathers as veteran wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is set to join the Kansas City Chiefs, with “Cheetah” hinting he needs help as well.

After being picked by the Chiefs in the 2016 NFL Draft, Hill parted ways with Patrick Mahomes & Co. in 2021. With the turn of events involving Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa, a trade could be on the books for Hill.

In the early hours of Wednesday morning, reports started pouring of Hopkins being traded by the Tennessee Titans to the Chiefs. While the football world was still reacting to it, Hill took to X (previously Twitter) to share his reaction.

“hm .” tweeted the 30-year-old veteran WR, a common abbreviation in internet parlance for “help me.” NFL fans did not waste time picking up on that.

“Help Me???? Hill wants to get traded???” replied one fan.

Several Chiefs fans expressed their desire of wanting to bring Hill back to Kansas City. “Come back to the Chiefs just for fun & the rest of the league might as well give up,” tweeted one fan.

“Well. Still hoping you will return. So whatever it takes,” another Chiefs fan added.

Meanwhile, fans of other teams also chimed in, suggesting Hill link up with their teams. “Go play with Lamar (Jackson) man,” responded one Baltimore Ravens fans.

“Welcome to Pittsburgh buddy!” one Pittsburgh Steelers fan tweeted.

“You want to come up a little north and play with Baker (Mayfield),” added a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan.

Why Did Hill Leave the Chiefs To Join the Dolphins?

Hill made his mark with the Chiefs after Kansas City drafted him. In his six years at Arrowhead, “Cheetah” totaled 479 receptions for 6,530 yards and 56 touchdowns. However, financial issues severed their ties.

Last year, the eight-time Pro Bowler revealed that he wanted to stick with the Chiefs, but he wanted a bigger contract in return. Hill suggested that he was bluffing with Kansas City, yet Miami made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.

“Their (Chiefs’) final offer was close to like $58 million guarantee and we can’t sign. That’s when the trade began to, come into, Drew’s [Rosenhaus] head. So, Miami offered like $70 [million] the first day,” said Hill.

Hill eventually signed a $120 million deal with the Dolphins with $72.2 million in guaranteed money.
