Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill left the game at the end of the first half versus the Las Vegas Raiders. Below are the latest injury updates on the Dolphins’ superstar receiver.
What Happened to Tyreek Hill?
The Dolphins curiously didn’t kneel out the clock despite starting on their own 25-yard line with 41 seconds left and no timeouts. Hill caught a two-yard pass on the first play of the drive but got tangled up and limped off the field.
Hill went to the locker room with the rest of the team as the half ended. Hill caught all four of his targets for 29 yards in the first half.
Tyreek Hill limps off at halftime. His ankle got pulled on a tackle on the last drive while trying to get out of bounds. Something to monitor in 2nd half. #finsup #RaiderNation #nfl pic.twitter.com/8vX29kS3QF

After halftime, he emerged from the locker room with his teammates and took his place on the sidelines when the Raiders offense took the field to start the second half.
Did Hill Return To the Game?
Hill was in the huddle for the Dolphins’ first drive of the second half, so Miami appears to have dodged a bullet.
Hill ultimately finished the game with seven receptions for 61 yards and one touchdown.
It has been a tough season in 2024 for Hill, as he has dealt with both poor QB play after Tua Tagovailoa’s latest concussion and injury issues of his own. He currently ranks 50th on the season in PFN’s WR+. That would be Hill’s lowest finish since our WR+ database begins (2019). Prior to this season, his lowest finish was 28th in 2020.
Hill has struggled for yards after the catch at times this season. He is averaging just 0.3 yards after the catch above expectation per reception on the season so far. Surprisingly for someone with his speed, that is not an area that Hill has consistently excelled in his career. However, this would be his second-worst number over the last six seasons.
Hill continues to be reliable in terms of catching the ball, with his drop rate ranking among the best in the league. However, the rest of his numbers are underwhelming, but not all of that is because of him.
