Tyreek Hill rewarded fantasy football managers who trusted him sans Patrick Mahomes last season with a career year. He was a target magnet with the Miami Dolphins and hasn’t been shy this summer about setting lofty goals with Tua Tagovailoa back in the mix. He’s as dangerous as anyone in this league with the ball in his hands, something that elevates his floor to a point where many are drafting him in the first round.

Tyreek Hill’s Fantasy Outlook for the 2023 NFL Season
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The Dolphins’ pass game will again go as far as their star receivers in Hill and Jaylen Waddle will take them. Even with Tua missing four games last season, Hill and Waddle combined for 3,066 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns, production that positions them as the best 1-2 WR punch in the league.

Behind this dynamic duo, there isn’t much. Cedrick Wilson, Braxton Berrios, and Robbie Chosen may have individual games in which they are productive. But counting on any of them to earn targets on a consistent basis is wishful thinking.
With Mike Gesicki taking his talents to New England, the tight end position is going to give back targets in 2023. While this backfield is deep on potential, the target share isn’t going to impact Hill in a major way.
Is Hill a Good Fantasy Pick?
He’s not a bad pick and is on the short list of receivers that can lead the position in fantasy points this season. Nonetheless, he’s being drafted a touch higher than I rank him.
I prefer a receiver in Stefon Diggs who has less risk under center and less target competition. You could make the exact same argument for Travis Kelce — that moves Hill closer to the back of the first round than the middle for me.
That said, as long as Tagovailoa avoids the big hit, the odds are good that you aren’t going to lose your league because you snagged Hill slightly early. His spike weeks are overwhelming, and if you run into a week like that during the fantasy postseason, you’re sitting pretty.

For what it’s worth, I prefer to wait 14-18 picks and select Waddle.
