If not for the play of rookie receiver Puka Nacua, Tutu Atwell would likely be the biggest surprise on the Los Angeles Rams‘ roster so far. Judging by the odds in his player props, there’s a good chance he can continue his stretch of excellent play.

Atwell Betting Trends and Stats
Atwell’s 13 receptions through two games this season is already approaching his receptions total from his 13-game 2022 season (18).
Atwell Best Bet
The Rams entered Week 3 as the only team that had two players with at least 175 receiving yards, and both had to be considered surprises. One was the rookie, Nacua (266 yards), with the other being Atwell (196).
Prior to this season, Atwell had never had more than five receptions or more than 65 receiving yards in any game. In the first two weeks of the 2023 campaign, Atwell has reached both of those marks — twice.

For those who think this is the ascent for a solid career, it’s worth noting he has caught 13 of the 17 passes thrown his way. Additionally, the fact that there is not just another productive receiver in Nacua, but a pass-catching running back in Kyren Williams, means that there should be opportunities for Atwell to continue his surprisingly impressive start.
There simply haven’t been enough resources to properly contain each weapon in this offense.
As for Atwell’s player prop options, there are options for value with these odds. The same is true for Nacua. However, while taking the over on 54.5 receiving yards seems logical, I’m going to take a chance at another play.
Atwell may surpass 55 receiving yards, but I have questions about the longest reception prop. His longest reception last week against the San Francisco 49ers was 18 yards, and I think he stays under 20 yards on any catch tonight.
