Tutu Atwell Dynasty Profile: Fantasy Outlook, Value, Projections, and Rankings

Tutu Atwell has yet to matter in fantasy. What does his future look like, and what is his value in dynasty fantasy football leagues going forward?

As we inch toward the new season, the ever-changing NFL landscape has player fantasy values constantly on the move. Whether you’re used to the dynasty platform or are still learning the rules, let’s dive into the latest dynasty fantasy football value of Tutu Atwell.

Tutu Atwell’s Dynasty Outlook and Value

The Rams were so enamored with their Van Jefferson selection in 2020 that they took another wide receiver in the second round in 2021. If you thought Jefferson’s rookie season was unproductive, wait until you hear about Atwell.

Los Angeles evidently thought so highly of their second round 5’9″, 155-pound WR, that they played him on all of 10 offensive snaps as a rookie.

I’m not quite sure why the Rams even drafted Atwell — they didn’t even use him on special teams. He played 27 special-teams snaps all season as a rookie. Suffice it to say the arrow was pointing way down on Atwell.

As a sophomore, he opened the season as the team’s WR6. He wound up catching 35 passes for 298 yards and a touchdown, but he couldn’t get on the field for any meaningful snaps until the Rams lost Cooper Kupp, Allen Robinson, and Ben Skowronek.

Atwell flashed signs of life with a nine-target, five-reception game in Week 14. However, it proved to be an anomaly, as he didn’t catch more than two balls in any other game. Strangely, Atwell didn’t play a single special-teams snap all season.

    Tutu Atwell’s Fantasy Ranking

I’m not quite sure what Atwell’s role should be in the NFL. But I’m quite sure he doesn’t need to be on fantasy rosters.

We have Atwell ranked as our WR108 (No. 277 overall) in our dynasty Superflex rankings. Even in deeper leagues, that’s well outside the bounds of players that are on rosters. I wouldn’t even take him in the last round of dynasty startup drafts.
