The 2024 NFL Draft is almost here, and hundreds of players are about to be drafted. While there’s talent at every position, there’s a ton along the offensive line.
That includes Troy Fautanu, who is one of the most versatile pieces in the class. Here’s everything to know about him.
How Tall Is Troy Fautanu?
Fautanu attended the 2024 NFL Combine, where he measured in and did on-field drills. He officially measured in at 6’3 6/8″. This is below average for an offensive tackle, which is just above 6’5″.
The tallest tackle in the NFL is Dan Skipper, who is 6’10. The shortest would be Isaiah Wynn, who is 6’2″. There is additionally Nick Harris, who is 6’1″ as a center.
How Much Does Fautanu Weigh?
In addition to his below-average height, Fautanu is also slightly below average in weight, coming in at 317 pounds. The average weight of an offensive tackle is between 320-330 pounds.
The heaviest offensive tackles in the NFL are Daniel Faalele and Trent Brown, who are both 380 pounds. The lightest tackle would be Chris Hubbard, who is 295 pounds.
How Old Is Fautanu?
While many players head to the NFL just three years out of high school, that wasn’t the case for Fautanu, who spent a full five seasons in college. He was born Oct. 11, 2000, and is 23 as a result. He will turn 24 during his rookie season.

What School Did Fautanu Go To?

Revisiting Fautanu’s College Career
Fautanu, while talented, started his career slowly. He redshirted his first season in 2019, appearing in no games. He got his first action during 2020 when he appeared in four games. It wasn’t until 2021 that he got his first start, when he appeared in nine games, starting three of them.
The 2022 season was Fautanu’s breakout, starting all 13 games, including being named the Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week in Week 3. He earned second-team All-Pac-12 honors for his 2022 season.
In 2023, he took it to the next level, again starting every game. He won the Morris Trophy as the top offensive lineman in the Pac-12 and was a part of the Huskies unit that won the Joe Moore Award as the top offensive line unit in the country. He was also first-team All-Pac-12.
Fautanu’s Potential in the NFL
According to PFN’s draft analyst Ian Cummings, Fautanu is a top-50 prospect and one of the top interior offensive line candidates.
“Fautanu has one of the more unique physical builds in the 2024 NFL Draft. He may measure in a notch under 6’4″, and yet, he has exceptional mass and proportional length and moves very well for his size — particularly as a short-area and lateral mover,” Cummings notes.
“Fautanu has all of the necessary athletic components, and he’s also incredibly flexible and nimble in recovery. Beyond those tools, he’s one of the best pass protectors in the class — possessing balance, leverage, adaptable footwork, active and violent hands, and sharp processing speed.
“Some of his strengths include his length, athleticism, lateral mobility, leverage, explosiveness, range and angle awareness, and processing speed. His weaknesses, on the other hand, are his lack of elite explosive capacity off the snap, lack of elite core strength, being late re-correcting, and his age.
“Where Fautanu falls short isn’t with glaring flaws, but rather, with non-elite traits — and even then, he’s passable in all areas. He might not be quite as explosive, as powerful, or as strong as some of the elite physical prospects at the top of the OT class, and he’s also an older prospect — set to turn 24 next October.”
