Is Trevor Lawrence Playing in Week 14?

Lawrence suffered a concussion after absorbing a dirty hit from Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair on Sunday. Al-Shaair was ejected from Sunday’s contest and has been suspended for three games.

Pederson indicated it was too early to say whether Lawrence would play again the season. The Jaguars fell to 2-10 after Sunday’s loss and have no chance at a playoff berth, which could theoretically affect Lawrence and the club’s thinking.

Lawrence did not participate in Jacksonville’s practice on Wednesday.

Backup quarterback Mac Jones threw for just 249 total yards, no touchdowns, and three interceptions in his two starts; both were Jags losses. He ranked dead last in passing success rate (31%) and next-to-last in EPA per dropback (-0.30) from Weeks 10 to 11.

Jones was more productive against the Texans on Sunday, completing 20 of 32 attempts for 235 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions.

    Trevor Lawrence’s Fantasy Outlook

Lawrence (concussion) seems to have passed the basic physical tests following a cheap shot that resulted in him being peeled off the field last week, a hit that potentially ended his season.

It’s been a brutal year for Lawrence (he returned last week from a shoulder injury that previously cost him time). However, fantasy managers have long since moved on from relying on Jacksonville’s high-pedigree QB.

Will there be any post-hype sleeper appeal in August? I’m not ruling it out, given the talent on this roster, but you can safely move on from Lawrence in one-QB formats if you haven’t already — in Superflex situations, I’d suggest waiting until word on his future is official.
