Tre’Davious White is a past All-Pro cornerback still searching for a new NFL home, following his release from the Buffalo Bills during the 2024 free agency period.
White’s next team will add an undersized 5’11”, 176-pound defender, but one who’s made up for his lack of size with two Pro Bowl appearances. The question is: Which teams represent the best landing spots for White?
Tre’Davious White Free Agency Landing Spots
White has spent his entire career with the Bills since being the fifth CB taken in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He established himself as an immediate fixture on defense, snatching 18 interceptions and breaking up 68 total passes during his Buffalo tenure.
While White is nearing his 30s, his leadership and experience should be coveted by any team looking to bolster their secondary. Turns out, he’s made some visits with a few franchises and has trips lined up. Here’s a list of potential landing spots.
Los Angeles Rams
Per NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, White had a visit lined up with the Rams for the week of March 18. That meeting session in L.A. officially wrapped up on Tuesday, according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter.
White would provide a significant veteran boost for a young secondary. The Rams, while under head coach Sean McVay and general manager Les Snead, have lured in veteran CBs before. Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib, Jalen Ramsey, and more recently Ahkello Witherspoon, all come to mind. White would give L.A. an experienced ballhawk and PBU king — as White has averaged more than eight pass breakups per season.
Las Vegas Raiders
In another note from Schefter, White met with Raiders officials on Tuesday as well.
Head coach Antonio Pierce managed to get maximum effort out of Jack Jones toward the end of 2023 while serving as the interim leader of the clubhouse. The Raiders, though, still need CB help opposite of him. There’s the thought of Quinyon Mitchell of Toledo going No. 13 in PFN’s Wednesday mock draft. Yet, White has the potential to add veteran expertise, especially in creating turnovers, over in Sin City.
New York Giants
In Schefter’s reporting on White’s visits, the Giants were also mentioned as a team scheduled to meet with the former Bills cornerback this week.
Here’s why the Giants bear watching: White has Bills connections there through New York GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll — the latter serving as the offensive coordinator in Buffalo during White’s Bills run. Daboll would know from experience the type of defender White is, having practiced against him. White could end up a late addition here.
Seattle Seahawks
We’re going to stick with the theme of possible Bills reunions for White, and thus Seattle is another prime location.

The connection? White’s longtime defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier has an involvement on the 2024 coaching staff. While the Seahawks have Riq Woolen, whom they’ve become high on, the defense still has an opening with Quandre Diggs getting released. White would come in with knowledge of Frazier’s ways and a chance to play for an aggressive scheme being constructed by new head coach Mike Macdonald.
Tennessee Titans
The final fit is another team White has been linked to for most of the offseason.
Tennessee struggled immensely with establishing a true turnover machine last season. Sean Murphy-Bunting led with only two interceptions. While the Titans have aggressively bolstered the offense with Brian Callahan coming on board to coach, defensive help is still needed. White can be the first step before the 2024 NFL Draft.
