Chiefs Superstar Travis Kelce Reveals Whether Taylor Swift Will Attend Kansas City’s Playoff Games

    Published on

Will Taylor Swift be in attendance to cheer on Travis Kelce in person at the Chiefs' playoff game against the Texans? Kelce revealed the answer.

The Kansas City Chiefs earned a much-needed bye week by earning the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Now, the Chiefs will be hosting the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Kansas City is currently a 7.5-point favorite in the Divisional Round.

The one big non-football question is whether Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s very famous girlfriend, Taylor Swift, will be in attendance for this weekend’s game.

This season, Swift has attended seven games to support the Chiefs but zero road games.

Travis Kelce Reveals Taylor Swift Plans To Attend Chiefs’ Playoff Games

Swift has been a good luck charm for the Chiefs, as the team tends to play well when she’s in the building.

This season, the Chiefs are 7-0 in the games that Swift has attended, and she was also on hand for Kansas City’s win over the San Francisco 49ers in last year’s Super Bowl.

Now that her “Eras Tour” is over, Swift has a bit more time on her hands. So, will she be attending the Chiefs’ Divisional Round game against the Texans?

During an appearance on ESPN’s “The Pat McAfee Show”, Kelce was asked about Swift and whether she’ll be at the contest.

“Oh yeah, you know it!” Kelce said of Swift’s presence at the game. “It is playoff football!”

Given the Chiefs’ success with Swift in attendance, McAfee playfully said that bettors’ ears perk up whenever she is cheering on Kelce in person.

Swift last attended a Chiefs game on Dec. 21, when Kansas City hosted and defeated—you guessed it—the Texans by a score of 27-19.

With Swift showing up to support Kelce, expect the NFL and the ESPN broadcast to add a little extra focus to the luxury box where Swift will be sitting.

Super Bowl Defense Begins This Week

Kelce and the Chiefs are trying to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls. The game against the Texans is just the start, and Kelce is “fired up” to pursue the three-peat.

Earning the No. 1 seed and the bye week allowed for Kelce and his teammates to rest and be focused on the Texans this Saturday. (It also allowed Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany, to welcome a baby girl).

“When it comes to getting the bye week, we’ve had a few of them over the course of my career,” Kelce said. “The big thing for me is making sure we put the pads on at least one time in the week.

“Make sure we get our physicality in and get that in check, play with some little pad level throughout the week. On top of that, put your feet up, man, watch some football, and get ready for some playoff action.”

Rest is huge at this point in the NFL season, so getting that time off will help the Chiefs feel refreshed.

Kansas City has faced Houston twice in the playoffs, being on the winning side both times, including the infamous 2019 playoff contest in which the Chiefs erased a 24-0 deficit to win 31-24.
