Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs got to enjoy a return trip to the White House last week as the now two-time defending Super Bowl champions. Kelce recently discussed a hilarious behind-the-scenes story from his latest trip to the nation’s capital.
Travis Kelce Tells Hilarious White House Story
Travis and his brother, Jason Kelce, discussed the Chiefs’ recent visit to the White House on this week’s episode of their New Heights podcast.
Travis dished on how some Secret Service members weren’t happy with the way his visit to the White House went last year and that they made him aware they were authorized to tase him if he again stepped up to the podium unannounced.
Travis previously went viral after attempting to take over the podium during Kansas City’s 2023 visit to the White House.
“The Secret Service that’s all over the White House, they weren’t too happy with me,” Kelce said. “You remember how I was talking about how I had an expired ID and I got in the White House? I caught s— for that. We had about four or five Secret Service members come up to me and tell me, ‘You know, if you go up to that podium, we’re authorized to tase you.’
“That’s all that was going through my head. I had no idea President Biden was gonna ask me to come up and let me have my moment.”
Travis was indeed asked by Biden to come up to the podium and address the nation but was still nervous despite having permission to approach the podium.
“If the president invites you up, you’re not going to get tased,” Jason said.
“Still, if I would’ve did something real fast, or real quick,” Travis responded. “I don’t know, I was just in my head. I’m like, ‘Dude, I’m about to get f—— tased. They warned me. F—, Joe, you bear-trapped me, you m———–.'”
Don't tase me, Joe 😭

What Went Down During the Chiefs’ White House Visit?
Kansas City got to enjoy the perks of visiting the White House for a second straight year after pulling off their 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 58.
Many of the Chiefs players were familiar with the building after touring it just under a year prior on June 5, 2023. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes told reporters at the time that he turned into a tour guide of sorts for the players who were not part of the previous trip.

Some team members posed for photos at the podium in the White House briefing room. The event wrapped up with the typical outdoor ceremony, during which President Biden addressed the team and nation with a speech. He also played on Kelce’s attempt to take the podium the last time by inviting him up to speak this time around.
Kelce did speak briefly, though he quickly retreated back to standing with his teammates.
“My fellow Americans, it’s nice to see you all again,” Kelce joked to the crowd and his teammates. “I’m not going to lie, President Biden, they told me if I came up here, I’d get tased. I’m going to go back to my spot, all right?”
The franchise then wrapped up its ceremony with head coach Andy Reid and chairman Clark Hunt offering President Biden a helmet, which he put on his head to cheers from Chiefs players.

Travis Kelce’s Offseason With Taylor Swift
Since the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win in February, Kelce has had plenty of time to enjoy himself this offseason.
Some of Kelce’s plans have included girlfriend Taylor Swift, who has continued her Eras Tour with stops all across the globe. Kelce was seen dancing during one of her shows in Paris in a moment NFL commissioner Roger Goodell later joked about with Kelce.
