Travis Kelce Picks Winner Between Taylor Swift Concert and Colts Fans Turning Up at Lucas Oil Stadium

Travis Kelce has been a constant at Taylor Swift's concerts but nothing beats the energy of football fans for him, not even the Swifties!

Travis Kelce appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Jan. 13 and couldn’t help but marvel at the energy Taylor Swift brought to Lucas Oil Stadium during her recent “The Eras Tour” stop in Indianapolis.

However, it soon showed why the veteran tight end loves football more than anything.

Travis Kelce Delves Into the Taylor Swift Effect in the NFL

Kelce compared the experience to the usual electric atmosphere at Swift’s concerts and expressed his excitement about what he witnessed at the Lucas Oil Stadium recently.

“I thought the European crowds were crazy, man, but I’ll tell you what, Lucas Oil. … I got to go to the last night over there in Indy, and they were live,” Kelce said.

“They were going nuts. I mean, I think I’ve seen that thing rocking when the [Indianapolis Colts] are playing — they might have had that thing rocking even more,” Kelce admitted.

Swift performed three back-to-back sold-out shows on Nov. 1, 2, and 3, of 2024, marking the final U.S. leg of her “The Eras Tour.” The concerts smashed attendance records for the stadium, turning Lucas Oil into a vibrant sea of lights, with fans donning wristbands that synced to the music.

Whether it’s the Swifties lighting up Lucas Oil or NFL fans cheering for the Colts, Indianapolis knows how to bring the noise. But in Kelce’s eyes, football fandom knows no bounds, and he might have just set a new standard for the upcoming Swift concerts and their energy.

Kelce also revealed how Swift’s presence at Kansas City Chiefs games has become an unlikely betting strategy for fans. On “The Pat McAfee Show,” Kelce shared how Swift is considered a lucky charm, and her appearances at their games have become a signal for fans to place bets on the Chiefs to win.

“I just want to let you know what live bettors do,” Kelce said. “They see her walk into that stadium, [they] immediately open the phone like, ‘Yep, Chiefs are about to win.’ That is just literally the feel.”

It’s easy to see why fans have latched onto this “Swift effect.” In the 2024 season, the Chiefs remained undefeated in the seven home games Swift attended, including a decisive win against the Houston Texans in December — her final Chiefs game of the season.

Even Kelce’s teammate Justin Reid has vouched for Swift’s “lucky charm” status, fueling the fan theory to another level. The pop icon’s presence has become more than just a headline-grabber or a factor in live betting strategies.
