The Kansas City Chiefs are just one step closer to becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowls. Travis Kelce and crew will take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Feb. 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs tight end is dating global star Taylor Swift, whose dad, Scotty, is known to be an Eagles fan. However, Kelce is hoping for his support during this week’s showdown.
Travis Kelce Admits to Plan To Talk to Taylor Swift’s Father Ahead of Super Bowl
As the Chiefs prepare to take on the Eagles, Kelce has an important assignment of his own: talking to the “I knew you were trouble” singer’s dad about switching to the Kansas City side ahead of the big matchup.
During a press conference before the Super Bowl, a reporter asked Kelce about Swift’s upbringing in Philadelphia and whether she put aside her Eagles fandom when she met him.

"I better hold up my end of the bargain. If she's out here being the superstar she is, always working her tail off, I better match that energy."

Kelce replied by saying he doesn’t know if Swift has an Eagles fandom. However, her dad certainly does as an Eagles fan.
Yet, Kelce expects both of them to cheer on the Chiefs and rock red outfits as they showcase their support this time.
“So I don’t know her to have the fandom. I know her father has a Philadelphia fandom as an Eagles fan, and, yeah, she’ll be all for the Chiefs this time around, for sure.
“You know what? I’ll have to ask Scott himself. We haven’t had that combo yet, but I think you’ll be wearing red. I don’t know,” Kelce stated.
Kelce also shared that because his girlfriend is out being the superstar that she is, he also has to hold the end of his bargain and match the energy.
The Chiefs tight end also expressed gratitude for the Kansas City fans’ love and support and appreciated how they always show up for them at Arrowhead Stadium. Now, they’ll travel to see the Chiefs try to win another Super Bowl and create history.
Kelce took a moment to share how, earlier in his career, he wanted to become the best at what he did. But that has changed to just making memories and creating lasting impressions on the communities that he’s in and changing the game.
