The Dallas Cowboys find themselves at a record of 3-6; while many things are going wrong with the franchise currently, the owner, Jerry Jones, refuses to accept CeeDee Lamb’s latest plea.
The conversation started after the Cowboys’ disappointing 34-6 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, when wide receiver CeeDee Lamb missed a potential touchdown because the sun’s glare interrupted his vision.

Jones dismissed the possibility of changing the stadium’s architect and said the players and the team should just play better.
Talking about the incident on their podcast, Travis and Jason Kelce empathized with Lamb as they’ve been in a similar situation while getting Jones’ point a bit.
“Jerry Jones is still at war with the sun; I’m not gonna lie, playing in that stadium, I f***ing had that problem before.
“That f***ing glare coming through the end zone in the afternoon is f***ing ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous. It’s like the glass makes it f***ing spread more. It’s like the sun is bigger and brighter than it’s ever been. I mean, I get it, you try not to let those things be an excuse, but holy s*** man. I understand where [Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb is] coming from here.”
“I do love playing in Cowboy Stadium when that’s happening. It makes it feel really cool. Until you know that. I mean, we gotta f***ing block that thing out,” Travis continued.
Analyst Believes Jerry Jones Should Hire Deion Sanders As the Next Cowboys HC
While Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy faces the heat due to their disappointing 2024 season run, analyst Stephen A. Smith laid out a detailed plan for Jerry Jones.
Smith believes Jones should simply tank the rest of the season, get the overall No. 1 pick, and draft Shedeur Sanders while hiring his dad, Deion Sanders, as the next head coach:
“I believe that the Dallas Cowboys should tank the rest of the season, get the number one overall pick so you can draft your Shedeur Sanders, and, by the way, hire Prime Time Deion Sanders as your head coach for the Dallas Cowboys.”
“I think that should be Jerry Jones’ master plan. That’s right, I said it, hire Prime Time Deion Sanders, you gotta tank the season to make sure you can get Shedeur as your quarterback, and you move forward that way. That is what I believe the Dallas Cowboys should do.”
