Travis Kelce’s Ex-Girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, Explains Why She’s ‘A Fan’ of a Certain Chiefs Star

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce's ex, Kayla Nicole, is back in the news, but this time it's for a different reason.

You know Super Bowl week couldn’t go by without Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole putting her two cents in about this week’s events. Nicole is making headlines again, but surprisingly, not about Kelce but about one of his Kansas City Chiefs teammates, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

    Kayla Nicole Praises DeAndre Hopkins

Hopkins has an interesting story. He spent years on other teams that weren’t Super Bowl contenders, so for him to land with the Chiefs at this point of his career has him extremely grateful.

On Monday, ahead of the Super Bowl, Hopkins posted to X, “To all the kids out there living in small towns, in small houses, with single parents. To the kids who see violence, who see loss, who don’t get the resources they deserve, but who still have big dreams. Know that I was a kid in your exact shoes and this week I’m playing in the Super Bowl.

“Don’t give up, work hard, keep believing. Where you start doesn’t determine where you end up.”

This comment impressed Nicole, who said on Instagram, ”I’m a fan. He’s got one of the most touching and impactful stories in the game.”

Hopkins was with the Tennessee Titans before he was traded to the Chiefs this past October. Things were so bad that he considered retirement.

”Words can’t really describe it,” said Hopkins, who is a three-time Pro-Bowler but has never played on a championship team despite his long NFL career.

”A dream come true. I’ve been in the league 12 years, and I haven’t gotten this far,” he said.

”To get traded and try to learn the playbook overnight, it was tough. But this organization and these coaches, they’re here for a reason — to get guys to be their best,” Hopkins added.

”I never went anywhere where they were talking about the Super Bowl.”

Nicole has made her feelings known that she won’t be supporting the Chiefs in the Super Bowl for obvious reasons. However, she has said in previous interviews that despite her feelings about the team, she’d never bet against Patrick Mahomes, and she was right.

Nicole has kept her name in the news because of her long “on again, off again” relationship with Kelce, which is why so many people are interested in what she has to say, even if it’s not positive. Because of that, Nicole has faced backlash for her comments from Swifties and others who think she is still trying to capitalize off the relationship.
