Top NFL Draft prospect Travis Hunter is not worried about his pro football future. The 2024 Heisman winner is enjoying life in his free time and recently opened up on his daily routine heading into the draft. The Colorado Buffaloes playmaker happens to be a two-way athlete on the offensive and defensive side of the ball — this versatility makes him a hot choice among NFL scouts and a likely top-five pick.
Travis Hunter Sheds Light on His Daily Routine
The Colorado standout enjoyed a great season under legendary coach Deion Sanders. He played a pivotal role in leading the team to a 9-4 record and a postseason bowl game.
Apart from his contributions to the team, the 21-year-old won several accolades that skyrocketed his draft projection to new heights.
He won the Chuck Bednarik, Biletnikoff, and Heisman awards, among others. During this week’s appearance on his “Travis Hunter” podcast, he opened up about his daily routine. Unlike what people would imagine getting into a Scouting Combine season, prospects tend to undergo intensive training and conditioning — Hunter is way different.
“Wake up, eat, work out, come back, go fishing, work out, eat, sleep, or play the game? Yeah, bro, it’s just a normal life,” Hunter said with a big smile.
“It’s not really like, oh my god, traps, gotta do this. No, gotta watch some football. Always. Gotta have that in the routine. Learn more about the game and just have fun with the process. Bro, you don’t want to be so strict, like, it’s a nine-to-five job. Like, just have fun with the process. Enjoy your time. That’s really my routine. Just gotta go with the flow. Enjoy my time.”

“If I feel like I want to go fishing, I go fishing. I’ll make time to go fishing. But I also got to get my workout in. Every time, get that workout in, make sure I’m eating. But I also got to have time to myself, so I make sure my time to myself is like spending time on the lake, on the water, walking around the bank,” he added.
Hunter could go as early as No. 1 overall to the Tennessee Titans in the 2025 NFL Draft. Brian Callahan would be looking at a major revamp to the roster, and Hunter could be a beginning to it.
