Both Reed and Bailey are members of the College Football Hall of Fame as well as the Pro Football Hall of Fame after phenomenal respective careers. Reed had 64 interceptions and 11 forced fumbles while playing for the Baltimore Ravens, the Houston Texans, and the New York Jets. Meanwhile, Bailey had 812 solo tackles and 52 interceptions during his career with the now-Washington Commanders and Denver Broncos.

“This is Legendary 🔥 Travis Hunter, Ed Reed, and Champ Bailey together 👀 #SkoBuffs,” the post was captioned.

Though he is still a very long way away from the NFL success Reed and Bailey had during their playing days, Hunter’s versatility makes him one of the most intriguing and exciting prospects in recent memory.

    Hunter’s 2025 NFL Draft Projection

Hunter’s positional decision is one of the most interesting storylines heading into the NFL Draft and is something that could change his stock. He has the skills to play both, but there is a likelihood that Hunter won’t frequently play on both sides of the ball at the next level.

Some mock drafts have Hunter dropping down in rankings as a result, believing that if he plays only one of his positions, then he will lose that versatility that makes him extra unique.

Nevertheless, in one of Pro Football Network’s latest 2025 NFL mock drafts, Hunter was selected No. 3 overall by the Tennessee Titans. Trades were available in this particular mock, and, thus, the New York Giants traded up to No. 1 overall, which netted the Titans a nice haul for moving two spots back.

“Even if the new front office wanted to convince [Shedeur] Sanders to accept life in Tennessee, compiling assets and capitalizing on the bidding war for Cam Ward or Sanders is a better rebuilding option. The Titans are more than just one quarterback away from competing in the AFC. So, trade back and call up a different Colorado celebrity.

“Travis Hunter is an exceptional athlete with a versatile skill set. Playing on both sides of the ball is unique, but the Titans can provide that opportunity to a dual-threat rookie. Other teams might want Hunter to focus on one side.”
