Travis Hunter pays no heed to the outside noise and, hence has fewer distractions as the Colorado standout and Heisman Trophy winner heads into the 2025 NFL Draft.
He is currently at the NFL Combine event, which is being held at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis from February 27 to March 2.
Initially, he was scheduled to participate in the drills but later announced that he wouldn’t work out and would rather engage in team meetings and interviews with the top brass of NFL franchises.

Travis Hunter Makes Inspiring Remarks About His Journey
The 21-year-old has come a long way to where he is today. Starting from Jackson State under Deion Sanders and honing his skills to transferring to the Colorado Buffaloes and playing for two years has been quite inspirational.
He played a crucial role in transforming the Buffs into a Big 12 powerhouse. In 2024, he recorded 1,152 passing yards and made 92 receptions while scoring 14 touchdowns.
Being a two-way star, he also showcased his defensive prowess and racked up 31 tackles for 11 pass breakups.
Recounting his journey, the youngster spoke about how he manages the outside noise and hate during an interview with Overtime this week.
“None of that stuff gets to me. Man, like I said, bro, nobody knew who I was, and I was little, so if you are just not getting to know me, you can’t tell me what I’m bad at or what I’m good at,” Hunter said on the show.

“I feel like people know what they are talking about. If they haven’t seen me in person or been around the game for as long as I’ve been alive. Certain people understand football. If you go out there and watch me play one game, you pretty much know that Travis can do everything on the football field.
“So I really don’t look at that stuff. I don’t have social media for us. I don’t look at no-mark drives. I don’t look at what people say. I see it on YouTube here and there, but I’m just doing what I do,” he added.
Hunter aspires to play on both sides of the ball at the NFL with several top teams have showing interest in him. The Tennessee Titans, the Cleveland Browns, and the New York Giants happen to be his most likely destinations.
