What Stands Out on the List?

Building a lethal offensive line is critical in team success and — most importantly — making sure your starting quarterback stays healthy over the course of a 17-game regular season.

Players such as Robert Hunt, Connor Williams, Lloyd Cushenbery, Jonah Jackson, and Tyler Biadasz have shown their respective organizations that they deserve to be paid.

The Miami Dolphins currently sit over the salary cap and will need to make key moves throughout the offseason.

Both Hunt and Williams suffered injuries in a contract season, and Williams’ was a season-ending torn ACL — the second in his career.

Are Hunt and Williams willing to re-sign for a year or two, or will they be asking for a much higher price?

Cushenberry, taken in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, has been a consistent starter on the offensive line in Denver and has avoided any major injuries throughout his rookie deal.

Of course, the Broncos may be looking for a new guy under center next season, as QB Russell Wilson’s future hangs by a thread.

From the moment GM Brad Holmes and HC Dan Campbell arrived to lead the Detroit Lions, the two have been very direct in how they would like to construct their roster, and that was to start from the trenches.

Jackson, 27, has played well during his time as a Lion, but injuries have prevented the former Rutgers and Ohio State product to consistently protect QB Jared Goff.

Jackson had three separate occasions in which he missed games this season — most notably an NFC Championship Game loss against the San Francisco 49ers — because of injuries.

Will the recent run of injuries prevent Jackson from earning a second contract with the Lions?
