With a $5.2 million cap hit in 2025, the Raiders could save $4.4 million by releasing him.
In the 2024 season, Gardner Minshew II appeared in 17 games for the Raiders, accumulating 2,013 passing yards, 9 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Minshew finished the season ranked 35th in PFN’s QB+ rankings with a D- grade. Considering his $14 million cap hit for 2025, the Raiders might contemplate releasing him, which would save $6.3 million if done before June 1, or $9.3 million if after.
