In just 15 games, he tallied 3,864 yards, with a season-high 377 yards coming in his final game of the year against the Detroit Lions. Jim Harbaugh gave Justin Herbert another playoff appearance but he also allowed the young QB to cook, as he tallied 3,870 yards on the year. He was remarkably consistent throughout the year, but exploded for 349 yards in a Week 7 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The season went by horrendously for the New York Jets. But, Aaron Rodgers in his first season back from an Achilles tear racked up 3,897 yards, including a 339 yard explosion against the Miami Dolphins which was his first 300+-yard game in over 1,000 days. The Kansas City Chiefs went 15-1 with Patrick Mahomes after winning back-to-back Super Bowls. However, individually, this was one of Mahomes' weaker seasons as he tallied just 3,928 yards on the year. However, he did have an early season 331-yard performance against the New Orleans Saints. The greatest rushing QB in NFL history became a genuine passing threat this season as Lamar Jackson tallied 4,172 yards on the season on just 474 attempts, good for 16th in the league. His masterpiece came against the Cincinnati Bengals when he dropped 348 yards on them. What a year it has been for Sam Darnold. After getting the bust label, Darnold turned in a spectacular year for a 14-3 Minnesota Vikings team with 4,319 yards, including a 377-yard masterpiece against the Green Bay Packers. The Seattle Seahawks did not make the playoffs but that should not take away from the incredible year Geno Smith had. Totaling 4,320 yards on the season, he was consistently solid, including 395 yards against the Detroit Lions in Week 4. Early season MVP buzz for Baker Mayfield died after injuries disrupted the team's record. But, Mayfield continued slinging it, tallying 4,500 yards on the year with a 359-yard outing against the Carolina Panthers serving as the high mark of the year. The Ben Johnson architecture found its man in Jared Goff, who had a career year with 4,629 yards. For the NFC 1-seed, his best game of the year came against the Buffalo Bills when he totaled 494 passing yards. A horrendous defense led Cincinnati to miss the playoffs. But the work Joe Burrow did, cannot be understated. With 4,918 yards, he was the league leader in passing yards, with a 428-yard game in a loss to the Baltimore Ravens effectively serving as a microcosm of his year.
