The Tennessee Titans will face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 10. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, especially regarding RB Tony Pollard.
Is Tony Pollard Playing in Week 10?
Tony Pollard went in the wrong direction on Thursday, being downgraded to a DNP after being limited on Wednesday with his foot injury. Fortunately, he returned to practice on Friday and doesn’t have an injury designation for Week 10.
Pollard did not practice all of last week but still suited up and recorded a career-high 28 carries for 128 yards. The Tennessee Titans likely gave him Thursday off after his massive Week 9 workload.
Titans RB2 Tyjae Spears will return from a three-game absence this week, and head coach Brian Callahan has stressed the importance of reducing Pollard’s touch count. While both backs will see snaps against the Chargers on Sunday, Pollard remains the club’s clear 1A option.
We’ll continue to monitor the Titans’ injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.
Should You Start or Sit Tony Pollard in Week 10?
Tony Pollard entered Week 9 with a questionable tag due to a foot injury, but he not only played but logged his third straight game with a snap share north of 80%.
He didn’t show any ill effects (a 32-yard run on the first drive, his second-longest gain of the season), and while his touchdown was pulled off the board due to a holding penalty, he showed the ability to stop on a dime and accelerate.
The Titans are a tough watch, but Tony Pollard’s role is nothing short of elite — he has multiple catches in every game and at least 16 carries in seven of eight.
The Chargers boast a top-10 run defense across the board, but efficiency isn’t why you’re plugging in Pollard as your RB2. If Tennessee can keep this game close, another 18-20 touch effort is likely and that’s enough to feel good about playing Tennessee’s lead back.

Tony Pollard’s Fantasy Points Projection in Week 10

PFN Insight on the Chargers’ Defense
The Los Angeles Chargers’ defense continued its strong performance in 2024 in Week 9 by holding the Cleveland Browns to just 10 points. This was their fourth time holding an opponent to 10 points or fewer and their eighth game in which they stopped their opponent from scoring over 20 points. Therefore, it is no huge surprise that they lead the league in terms of points per drive at 1.1.
cThis Chargers unit has been fairly good in most aspects, but their biggest area of concern is that they are ninth in sack rate and just 27th when it comes to getting pressure without blitzing. Compared to all the others, those two numbers stand out as an area they will need to be more effective in as their schedule gets tougher in the coming weeks.
