Tom Brady Indulges in Deflategate Joke With Dude Perfect

Brady freshened up memories of one of the most farcical episodes of his career in his seven-minute video with Dude Perfect. The former New England Patriots QB was handed a deflated football by Tyler Toney as a pointed reference to the Deflategate scandal, an investigation that resulted in a four-match ban for Brady during the 2016 NFL season.

Brady was then seen aiming at and hitting an archer’s target from a distance close to 30 yards. Clearly, the 24-year-old NFL veteran still has the ability to get the ball into tight windows!

While X (formerly known as Twitter) users were quick to point out that Brady hit the target with a well-inflated ball, it hardly took away from their admiration for the GOAT’s precision two years removed from his NFL retirement.

Brady’s new video with Dude Perfect saw him take on the members of the group in “Moving Basketball” (swishing three shots through moving hoops), “Football Duck Hunting,” and a modified home run derby.

Brady ended up losing narrowly to Coby Cotton in the Moving Basketball contest, despite running up a 2-0 lead. He then made sure to win his golf challenge before moving into the Balloon Duck Hunting contest.

The Raiders minority owner beat Toney in his arena of strength before having a ball at their custom home run derby. All-in-all, Brady seemed to be in full enjoyment of the unique challenges presented to him.

The version of Brady that we’ve all been seeing in retirement seems to be much more at ease than what we knew of him during his storied NFL career. It bodes well for him to adapt so easily and so well to his post-playing career.

One can only hope that Brady continues to showcase his upward movement as a commentator on the sidelines. To his credit, he did have a few great moments in the booth during this weekend’s Wild Card game. The sky is the limit for the GOAT Brady!
