Zay Flowers has created history by being selected for the 2025 Pro Bowl games for the AFC. While the world is pleased for the Baltimore Ravens wide receiver’s success, one man is kicking the hornet’s nest.
It’s none other than Tom Brady’s former teammate, Antonio Brown. The former Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR bluntly stated that Flowers should’ve been replaced by Brian Thomas Jr.
Zay Flowers Creates History, but Antonio Brown Stays Unimpressed
On Thursday, the NFL announced its full roster that will participate in the Pro Bowl games to be held in Orlando, FL. Flowers became the first WR in the history of his franchise to be selected for this honor.
The Ravens’ social media team posted a heartfelt video of Flowers finding out that he’s been named as one of the alternates for the Pro Bowl through Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta. While the world was impressed by Flowers’ reaction, Brown on X (formerly Twitter) replied to the video in his blunt style.
“Should have been Brian Thomas Jr,” he tweeted.

Strictly from the stats, the Jacksonville Jaguars WR leads Flowers in every category. Thomas has registered 1,179 yards and 10 touchdowns (fifth-most in the league). On the other hand, Flowers has 1,047 yards and four TDs to his name.
After AB pointed out that Thomas deserved to be included on the AFC roster for the Pro Bowl games, many fans have included him in their list of biggest Pro Bowl snubs this year.
What Did Flowers Say After Finding Out About Pro Bowl Selection News?
Flowers will be joined by the Cincinnati Bengals’ Ja’Marr Chase (starter), the Cleveland Browns’ Jerry Jeudy (starter), and the Houston Texans’ Nico Collins in Orlando. However, none of them could top the happiness that Flowers felt at the moment he received the news.
“I don’t know what to say. I can’t even cry,” Flowers said. “This is crazy, though. This is something I’ve dreamed of since I was a kid, you know, to participate in something like that. Everybody has dreams of doing it — it’s crazy when it’s really here.”
While Ravens fans were happy for their WR, they’d be hoping the 24-year-old doesn’t get to play in the Pro Bowl games in Orlando and instead show off his talents at the Super Bowl in New Orleans.
