Tom Brady was given a high-profile, multi-million dollar opportunity once his NFL career came to an end. Now, the legendary seven-time Super Bowl winner will have guaranteed involvement for his 12th big game appearance — this time as an analyst.
Tom Brady Confirms 2025 Super Bowl
Brady, who quarterbacked the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a combined 10 Super Bowl appearances plus flipped the coin in Super Bowl XL, told The Pat McAfee Show Tuesday that he will be at next year’s big game.
Only this time in New Orleans, he’ll officially take part in the broadcast role he was offered toward the end of his NFL career.
Brady, who spent his first season away from the game after an illustrious two decade career, told McAfee that he has been preparing for his future role in broadcasting.
“Spoke to a lot of broadcasters from the entire season and just learning from them,” Brady said. “People who are current broadcasters, ones who have done play-by-play and analysis…I’ve connected with a lot of fun people.”
Brady joked he has a new playbook now.
“I’ve got great notes. I can probably write a broadcasting playbook at this point. But it’s something that I’ve really challenged myself, and I’m really looking forward to calling games for FOX starting in September,” Brady said.
"I've been out to the FOX studios a few times and I'm really excited to join an amazing team..
Greg Olsen does an incredible job and I have so much respect for him..
I'm gonna go in there and do the best I can do with my own perspective" ~ @TomBrady #PMSLive pic.twitter.com/Z1b6B2Zal5

Is Brady Replacing Greg Olsen at FOX?
FOX, however, has been given praise by fans for witnessing the cohesion between Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen as the network’s No. 1 play-by-play and color commentator.
With Brady soon to be in the picture, will this mean the end for Olsen in the latter broadcasting role?
“I’ve been out to FOX Studios a few times and have done some really dry runs with Kevin, who’s been tremendous at what he does. I’m super excited to join an amazing team with Rich Russo and Richie Zions. We talk a lot about football and how I see the game.”
As for Olsen, he appears to be the odd man out at FOX once Brady holds up the microphone and puts on the headset. Olsen already told The Athletic on Tuesday that he’s all but assured called his last game in the booth with Burkhardt. He was already prepared for eventually parting ways.
“That’s the way it looks, from everything we’ve been told, and that’s the way it’s been trending. We’ve been planning for that for two years,” Olsen said. “We knew when we took the job that Brady was there whenever he was going to decide to come.
“But the one thing I will say is I’m damn proud of what we did for two years. I don’t know any crew — from (Kevin) Burkhardt to Erin (Andrews) and Tom (Rinaldi) to our producer, our whole truck — I don’t know if anyone produces a better football game than we do.”

Brady shared his admiration for the former tight end turned broadcaster.
“Greg’s done an incredible job. I have so much respect for him with how he approaches his job. He’s super prepared in what he does. I think he does an incredible job every time he’s on. I love listening to him,” Brady said.
Fans of the NFL witnessed how Brady prepared his mind and body for 23 seasons. But instead of using his arm and brain cells during a football game, he says he can rely more on his voice.
“I’ve had 23 years of just observing. I get to go on now and speak to a wider audience. I used to use my body and brain, and people would see me lead the team down the field. Now I get to do that in a different way using my voice,” Brady said.
