Sunday Night Football will feature the Tennessee Titans vs. Los Angeles Rams in one of the most anticipated games of Week 9. To make a prediction for this game, we need to look at how each of these offenses has been performing as of late. Is there one that is clearly better than the other? Here is a Titans vs. Rams prediction, along with the NFL odds, TV channel, and live stream options for the SNF battle.

The Titans will need to reinvent themselves
The Rams have become more than 7-point favorites in this one due to one key piece of injury news for the Titans. Tennessee’s star running back Derrick Henry will miss the rest of the season after requiring foot surgery. It is a significant blow to the team as Henry led the NFL in carries, rushing yards, and rushing TDs in both 2019 and 2020. He was on pace to do it again in 2021.
Now, the Titans will need to reinvent their offense and rely on a combination of Jeremy McNichols and the newly-signed Adrian Peterson to carry their backfield. The Titans had been rushing for an average of 147.6 yards per game, fourth-best in the NFL. To say that we expect a slight drop-off in that production is a bit of an understatement.

Luckily for Tennessee, they have two of the top WRs in the NFL on their roster in A.J. Brown and Julio Jones. Jones has been somewhat disappointing this season, battling through injuries and inconsistent play. However, if the Titans are going to continue their winning ways, they will need both Brown and Jones to step up in Henry’s absence.
Can the Rams continue to dominate?
The Rams have been dominant in the month of October. Both their quarterback Matthew Stafford and his top weapon Cooper Kupp were named October’s Players of the Month by Pro Football Network.
It is no surprise that they garnered those awards as their numbers have been impressive. In eight games, Stafford has 2,477 passing yards and 22 touchdowns. In 16 games with the Lions last season, Stafford threw for 26 TDs. He could possibly surpass that total this week.
Kupp has been the biggest benefactor of Stafford’s resurgence. He currently leads the NFL in receiving yards with 924 on 90 targets. The only other receiver with that same amount of targets is Tyreek Hill, who has 735 yards on the year. Kupp is also leading the NFL with 10 TD catches.
The Rams also made a big splash at the trade deadline by acquiring Von Miller. The veteran defender will now pair with Aaron Donald to give the Rams the most intimidating pass rush in the NFL.
Titans vs. Rams prediction
It is difficult to make a Titans vs. Rams prediction because there are so many variables. Will Tennessee’s run game be able to succeed without Henry? Will their offense work with a heavier focus on the passing game? The Titans are 4-0 against the spread (ATS) in their last four games overall, but does that really count now that Henry is sidelined?
The number in this one is right where I would have put it at 7.5. That makes it tough for me to make a prediction on the side. I think the Rams are going to win, but there is a very good chance the Titans cover this big number. Instead, I will look at the total.

The over is 27-10-1 in the Titans’ last 38 games. The over is also 7-2-1 in the Rams’ last 10 games. Both of these teams have high-powered offenses, and I can see a lot of points being scored.
In garbage time last week, the Rams let the Houston Texans put up 22 points. I think the Titans will be able to muster something similar.
Titans vs. Rams Prediction: Rams 31, Titans 27
