Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans Inactives
Note that the full inactive list is released by teams 90 minutes before kickoff. This list will be updated at that time.
Tennessee Titans Week 12 Injury Report
Justin Hardee, CB
Hardee (groin) is questionable to play in Sunday’s Week 12 game against Houston.
Hardee missed last Sunday’s matchup against Minnesota due to a groin issue and sat out Tennessee’s first two practices this week. However, he was able to log a limited practice session Friday, giving him a chance to suit up against the Texans.
Hardee’s return would mostly affect the Titans’ special-teams unit, as he’s yet to play a defense snap over two contests with the team.
Roger McCreary, CB
McCreary (knee) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Texans.
The Titans are already again going to be without top CB L’Jarius Sneed (quadriceps), so losing McCreary would be another tough blow headed into a date with Nico Collins and Tank Dell. Jarvis Brownlee and Darrell Baker are expected to see heavy snaps in coverage.
Calvin Ridley, WR
Calvin Ridley missed Wednesday’s practice because of an illness but was upgraded to a full participant on Thursday. It appears Ridley just needed a sick day, as he also spoke to reporters in the locker room after practice on Thursday.
Ridley fully practiced again on Friday and was removed from the Titans’ injury report. He’s good to go against the Texans in Week 12.
Ridley has posted several ceiling performances in recent games, finishing as fantasy’s WR4 in Week 8 and WR3 in Week 1.
L’Jarius Sneed, CB
Tennessee plans to place Sneed (quadriceps) on injured reserve Saturday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans’ official site reports.
Sneed has already missed the Titans’ past five games, which makes it curious why Tennessee has waited so long to make the decision to send him to injured reserve. This anticipated move will knock Sneed out for at least an additional four contests.
His first season with the Titans has been one marred by injury. Sneed will be eligible to play again in Week 16 against the Colts.
Tyjae Spears, RB
Tyjae Spears left Week 11 early in the fourth quarter to be evaluated for a concussion and did not return. The Tennessee Titans RB never practiced this week and has been ruled out for Week 12.
Spears missed Weeks 7 through 9 with a hamstring injury, allowing fellow Titans RB Tony Pollard to turn into a genuine workhorse. Pollard played at least 82% of Tennessee’s snaps and handled 22+ touches in each game without Pollard.
The Titans haven’t shown any willingness to involve backup RBs Julius Chestnut or Joshua Kelley, so Pollard could be trending toward another insane workload.
Leroy Watson, OT
Watson (back) has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Texans.
Watson will miss a second straight game due to a back injury that prevented him from practicing all week. He’ll look to get back on the practice field ahead of the Titans’ Week 13 clash against the Commanders on Sunday, Dec. 1.
Nicholas Petit-Frere started at right tackle in Week 11 against the Vikings and will likely do so again for Week 12 in Watson’s absence.
Final Titans Injury Report
Jack Gibbens, LB (Ankle) – Out; Justin Hardee, CB (Groin) – Questionable; Sebastian Joseph-Day, DE (Biceps) – playing; Roger McCreary, CB (Knee) – Questionable; Kenneth Murray, Jr., LB (Shoulder) – playing; Calvin Ridley, WR (Illness) – playing; Jeffery Simmons, DT (NIR – Rest) – playing; L’Jarius Sneed, CB (Quad) – Out; Tyjae Spears, RB (Concussion) – Out; Leroy Watson IV, T (Back) – Out
Houston Texans Week 12 Injury Report
Will Anderson, DE
Anderson (ankle) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Titans.
The 23-year-old upgraded to full participation Friday after opening Houston’s week of practice with consecutive limited sessions, suggesting that he’s moved past his ankle issue in time for Sunday’s divisional matchup.
Expect Anderson to start opposite Danielle Hunter as part of the Texans’ top pass-rushing duo in Week 12.
Denico Autry, DT
Autry (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Titans.
Despite logging three consecutive DNPs during the Texans’ week of practice, the 34-year-old still has a chance to suit up in Week 12.
If Autry misses Sunday’s divisional matchup, the impact would be mitigated by the return of Will Anderson. If he is able to play through his knee issue, Autry will likely serve as a rotational defensive end.
Folorunso Fatukasi, DT
Fatukasi (foot) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Titans.
The 29-year-old missed the Texans’ Week 11 win over the Cowboys and was unable to practice all week due to a foot injury, so it’s no surprise he won’t be suiting up Sunday.
Expect Mario Edwards to see additional work with Houston’s first-team defensive line in Fatukasi’s stead in Week 12.
Blake Fisher, OT
Fisher (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday’s Week 12 clash against the Titans.
Fisher will miss his second straight contest due to a concussion. He didn’t practice at all this week, which suggests that he’s still in the NFL’s five-step concussion protocol. Fisher’s next chance to suit up will come Sunday, Dec. 1 against Jacksonville.
Kamari Lassiter, CB
Lassiter (concussion) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Titans.
Lassiter missed Houston’s Week 11 win over the Cowboys after sustaining a concussion the previous game, but he practiced in full all week and has cleared concussion protocol, paving the way for his return in Week 12.
The rookie from Georgia has nabbed three interceptions in his eight appearances this season and is expected to serve as one of the team’s top outside corners Sunday.
Derek Stingley, CB
Stingley (hip) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Titans.
Stingley practiced in full Friday after beginning the Texans’ week of practice with back-to-back limited sessions, so it appears he’s moved past his hip injury in time to suit up in Week 12.
The third-year pro has impressed through Houston’s first 11 games this season, recording 36 total tackles and 12 passes defended, including two interceptions. Expect Stingley to serve as the Texans’ top outside cornerback in Sunday’s divisional matchup.
Final Texans Injury Report
Denico Autry, DT (Knee/Oblique) – Questionable; Foley Fatukasi, DT (Foot) – Out; Blake Fisher, OT (Concussion) – Out; Azeez Al-Shaair, LB (Knee) – playing; Will Anderson Jr., DE (Ankle) – playing; Derek Stingley Jr., CB (Hip) – playing; Kamari Lassiter, CB (Concussion) – playing
