What a time to be an NFL fan during Tebow Mania. Tim Tebow, fresh off a legendary career as a Florida Gator came into the NFL with many hoping he would be the next great quarterback to enter the league. The idea of a beloved college quarterback coming to the NFL and taking the league by storm is not a unique one.
However, that said quarterback not working out and becoming a WWE wrestling sensation instead? Now that is a truly unique story that the sports world can get behind. Well, according to Nick Khan, president of the WWE, Tebow to the wrestling world almost happened.
Tim Tebow Reportedly Had Secret Meeting With WWE
On the latest episode of The Pat McAfee Show, Khan spoke about Tebow and his almost career change. Following Tebow’s release from the New England Patriots and the impending end of Tebow the NFL player, according to Khan, there were conversations regarding Tebow possibly joining the WWE world.

A secret meeting between the powers that be in the wrestling world and one of the biggest global sensations in the football world is the stuff of legendary folklore.
However, despite the excitement of the possibility, Tebow the wrestler never came to be. As a result, we’re left wondering “what could’ve been” if it did happen and just the impact a crossover move like that could’ve had on the sports world.
Tebow Mania at its height was a worldwide phenomenon that swept the airwaves of every news station and radio station during that time. There is little doubt that his global popularity would have captivated a different audience.
Just how big of an impact Tebow could have had on the wrestling world is unknown. But the thought of adding him to the mix undoubtedly laid the foundation for players such as McAfee himself to come into the wrestling mix as well and is doing things they thought about doing with Tebow once before.
