The hapless Broncos travel to face the defending Super Bowl champions. The Thursday Night matchup is a revival of one of the NFL’s most intense rivalries. Denver appears lost at sea under Payton as Wilson continues to flounder under center for the Broncos.

The Broncos’ offense cannot find any timing or rhythm as Wilson struggles to get the ball into the hands of their playmakers. Veteran wide receivers Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy have been quiet most of the season as the Broncos passing game has become one of the worst in the league. If there is hope for the passing game, rookie receiver Marvin Mims shows promise.
Denver RB Javonte Williams should return to action tonight. Reportedly, he was close last week, but the team was cautious in its approach to the third-year back coming off of a knee injury. If the Broncos have any hope of keeping this contest close, they must run the ball effectively, keeping Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense on the sideline.

Speaking of the Chiefs’ offense, it hasn’t been all wine and roses for Kansas City. They are finding themselves offensively. Andy Reid has taken a more balanced approach in 2023, getting the running game going with Isiah Pacheco.

Kansas City’s offense will flow through Mahomes and his favorite pass-catching target, TE Travis Kelce. The Chiefs need to identify additional go-to pass catchers as they monitor the emergence of young receivers like Skyy Moore and Rashee Rice.
