Shedeur Sanders is one of the most talked-about players in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, whether he is the best quarterback in this class remains a topic of debate.
The quarterback competition between Cam Ward and Sanders continues to divide analysts. Some, like Joel Klatt, back Deion Sanders’ son as the top QB prospect, while others favor Miami Hurricanes standout Ward.
However, ESPN’s Tony Grossi recently sparked controversy by ranking Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart ahead of Sanders as the second-best QB in this year’s draft class.

NFL Analyst Endorses Jaxson Dart Over Shedeur Sanders for the Cleveland Browns
During a recent episode of ESPN Cleveland, analyst Tony Grossi stunned fans by revealing that, if given the choice between Sanders and Dart, he would pick Dart.
Grossi acknowledged that his opinion would likely face heavy criticism from analysts and fans alike, but he stood by his ranking.
When his co-host pointed out the risk of passing on Sanders, only to also miss out on Dart, Grossi agreed that the Browns might never get another shot at Sanders. Despite that, he remained firm in his belief that Dart was the better choice.

Reacting to Grossi’s take, fans took to social media to voice their disagreement.
One fan commented, “So scared of taking a quarterback that we are trying to convince ourselves we are going to find a diamond in the rough when we have no history of doing so. This front office cannot be trusted with a mid-round QB pick.”
“Since when does Grossi know QBs?! I mean, he ran the best QB the Browns have had in the expansion era out of town. And look at @bakermayfield now. A f*ckin’ stud. Just like he was while playing for the Browns,” another fan added.
Another fan pointed out, “The old generation of Browns media needs to retire. They’re dumb, depressing, and just boring. It’s like they want to be miserable every season because they don’t know how to write about a successful team.”
“Worst organization in sports history, with the worst coverage to boot. Can we get beat reporters who know what they’re doing??” another fan added.
Another fan commented, “NEVER LET TONY ON THE AIR AGAIN. THIS IS SO IDIOTIC. WHY EVEN TALK ABOUT IT????”
The 2025 NFL Draft is set to take place April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
