So, which NFL Draft prospects should you keep an eye on at Texas A&M’s 2022 Pro Day, and what can we expect from the top players participating?

Top NFL Draft prospects working out at Texas A&M Pro Day

It’s a talented group at Texas A&M‘s Pro Day, so let’s look at the top prospects participating.

    RB Isaiah Spiller

If Isaiah Spiller wants to remain in the running for RB1 in this draft with Kenneth Walker III, he’ll need to put up a better performance than he did at the NFL Combine. His broad jump was worst among all running backs, and his vertical was tied for third-worst. Those were the only two events he participated in at the Combine.

Spiller will run the 40-yard dash at the Texas A&M Pro Day, but a good time might not be enough. Improving his broad and vertical jump scores are also essential. It’s tough to see any running backs going in the first round this year, but Spiller’s stock needs some help at this point to stay in the second round.

    TE Jalen Wydermyer

Jalen Wydermyer didn’t participate in the testing at the NFL Combine, but he did in the drills. His performance at the Texas A&M Pro Day will tell us a lot. A productive three-year starter, teams are eager to see how explosive he can be as a blocker and pass catcher. We’ve seen his ability to win jump-ball situations, but teams want to know how quick he can be and how much they can expect to rely on him in the run game.

    OL Kenyon Green

Kenyon Green‘s numbers at the Combine and pro day can be interpreted differently by different teams. Those interested in his services could see him playing different positions for their team. That’s the best thing about him, though. Green’s versatility remains his biggest strength, and it’s a big reason why he’s considered a first-round pick. Whether he plays guard or tackle, teams know they’re getting depth by drafting him.

    DT DeMarvin Leal

At one point, DeMarvin Leal was considered a top-10 pick, but it appears that he’s sliding away from that every week. Initial excitement about his ability to play inside and out has gone away, and it seems like his disappointing Combine performance limits him to the inside now. Make no mistake about it, he’s still a first-round talent. He just might slide to later in Round 1 barring an incredible performance on March 22.

    EDGE Micheal Clemons

Micheal Clemons isn’t the first-round talent that Leal is. Nevertheless, he has the potential to rise up draft boards after the Texas A&M Pro Day. His length will jump out and allow him to keep blockers off his frame, so adding a strong showing in terms of explosiveness will help him quite a bit.

    EDGE Tyree Johnson

If you’re looking for an explosive edge rusher outside of the first round, Tyree Johnson should be on your list. While he only participated in the bench press at the NFL Combine, he’ll do more at the Texas A&M Pro Day. Teams would like to see the numbers match what they see on tape, and his draft stock could take off if he’s able to do just that.
