Terron Armstead Injury Update: What We Know About the Miami Dolphins OT

Terron Armstead has been consistently banged up since joining the Miami Dolphins last year. What happened to the veteran left tackle in Week 4?

Miami Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead walked slowly to the locker room for observation after suffering a knee injury late in the second quarter of their game against the Buffalo Bills. The observations didn’t produce great results, as Armstead has been ruled out of the game.

From the current NFL standings to team depth charts to coverage of every game in the 18-week NFL schedule, we have all the news from around the league to keep you up to speed!

    Terron Armstead Injury Update

Armstead, who missed the Dolphins’ first two games with a right lower leg injury, was replaced by Kendall Lamm, how performed well as the Dolphins’ LT1 the first two weeks of the season.

Without Armstead and Connor Williams, the Dolphins allowed four sacks — by far the most surrendered by the Dolphins in 2023.

Armstead did not speak to reporters after the game, but ESPN did capture a photo of him leaving Highmark Stadium on crutches.

Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel had little more information on Armstead’s injury after the game. He suggested that Armstead will undergo tests upon returning to Miami, saying that the team will have more information Monday.

“I know it wasn’t a re-aggravation” of an existing injury, McDaniel added.

Armstead is the Dolphins’ best offensive lineman. But he’s also their most fragile. He entered the game with injuries to his ankle, knee and back. Armstead has missed six games due to injury since signing a big-money contract with the Dolphins in the 2022 offseason.

    Fantasy Fallout From Armstead’s Injury

A single offensive line injury is rarely enough to warrant a fantasy football reaction, but that’s the impact that Armstead can have on an offense.

He’s easily one of the best offensive linemen in the league, which will impact the speed that Tua Tagovailoa will have to go through his reads. With that being said, this Dolphins offense has shown that it’s potent and high-powered enough to overcome these types of obstacles.

If Armstead is forced to miss significant time, the RBs could take a slight tick down the rankings. However, this is quickly becoming an offense that you play the weapons in it for fantasy football without really thinking twice.
