Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is known to jokingly have a power ranking of his five children: Shelomi, Shilo, Shedeur, Deion, Jr., and Deiondra.
Last year’s iteration of the list ranked his kids as follows:
- Deion Sanders Jr.
- Shelomi “Bossy” Sanders
- Shilo Sanders
- Shedeur Sanders
- Deiondra Sanders
One of his kids is looking to make a potential move up the power rankings to the No. 1 spot and wants an updated list.
Coach Prime’s Daugther Looking to be No. 1
In a video posted to Instagram, Deion and his daughter, Shelomi, were having a fun father-daughter conversation with the duo discussing where she should rank among her other siblings.
Shelomi is already No. 2 in the rankings, but she is aiming to get a higher spot on the list. Deion laughs and shuts her down when she brought up being at No. 1 on the list.
“She feels like she should be ranked No. 1 in the poll,” Deion said. “That definitely ain’t gonna happen.”
Shelomi counters that she should be moved up on the list and dethrone Deion, Jr., and it is not because her birthday is in December. Shelomi says the reason to move up is that she has “been a good kid” and has been “calling her dad.”
Deion responds by saying calling her dad is a normal thing and not necessarily something special enough to have her rise up the rankings.
“You’re supposed to [call],” Deion said. “I’m gonna reward you for something you’re supposed to be doing?”

The two are joking since it is Shelomi’s birthday month, which she shares with her brother Deion, Jr. However, Deion speculates that perhaps his daughter might just want “something.”
Shelomi does mention about wanting to get some more gifts for her birthday, and Deion playfully says that she is only providing him with headaches.
Former NFL Great Weighs In on What Shelomi Wants
Former NFL star and six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Terrell Owens joined the conversation about the power rankings.
Owens commented on the Instagram video about why Coach Prime’s youngest daughter Shelomi is trying to move up the child power rankings with a simple three-word response:
Deion and Owens are of the same mind, as Shelomi’s father talks in the video about her possibly wanting more gifts since it is still December and her birthday month.
Ultimately, Shelomi is just fine “being No. 2.” on the rankings behind Deion, Jr.
