It took some time for Marshall to even be active for the Panthers despite their need for playmaking besides DJ Moore and Robbie Anderson. Marshall caught only 17 passes for 138 yards last year and had no production in the first month of games. He seemed to be on the roster bubble after Shi Smith outproduced him in the preseason, and Rashard Higgins was added as Baker Mayfield’s buddy.

But the last two weeks have given Marshall’s career new life. With Anderson in Arizona, Mayfield splitting reps with PJ Walker, and Smith and Higgins being non-factors, Marshall is in line to be the WR2 along with Laviska Shenault Jr. for the rest of the season. The question is how much that means for fantasy managers.
With a bottom-10 scoring offense and a passing unit that relies on volume over effectiveness and efficiency, Marshall is unlikely to be a consistent threat. But he’s made the most of his 15 targets from the last two games, catching 140 yards and a touchdown. It’s not unreasonable he can average 50-70 yards a game against weaker secondaries for the remainder of the year.
I would consider picking up Marshall based on recent games. He’s played at least 86% of snaps over the last three weeks and finished as the WR19 last week on only three receptions. Production should be forced his way moving forward.

Marshall had a career-high 87 yards and four receptions in that matchup. Unless A.J. Terrell comes back for the Falcons and faces Marshall specifically, Marshall should feast.
