Tennessee Titans vs. Miami Dolphins Prediction, Picks, Odds Week 4: Will Levis Looking for First Titans Win

The Dolphins are looking to third-string quarterback Tyler Huntley to lead them against the winless Titans. Check here for betting picks and predictions.

There are 61 quarterbacks since 2022 to throw over 145 passes, per TruMedia. Tyler Huntley ranks 46th in EPA (expected points added) per drop back and Will Levis ranks 52nd. This game will matter as much for the 2025 NFL Draft as it does for the 2024 NFL playoff race.

Titans vs. Dolphins Preview and Prediction

It’s extremely difficult to analyze the Miami Dolphins‘ offense for this game because we have never seen it with Huntley operating. Luckily, he has played a little bit, so we can try to nail it down by comparing similar circumstances. Tua Tagovailoa has been in the top five (first in 2023) in every season since 2021 in terms of the quickest time to throw. This is a staple of the Dolphins offense that prides itself in quick throws and yards after the catch.

Huntley ranks 38th of 61 in EPA per dropback with a time to throw under 2.5 seconds. Tagovailoa ranks sixth in such throws., per TruMedia He ranks 59th of 61 in EPA per dropback on play-action passes, whereas Tagovailoa ranks 22nd with 11 more attempts than anyone else since 2021.

The Tennessee Titans‘ defense ranks 11th this year in EPA, 10th against the pass, and 16th against the run. They rank dead last in generating pressure and quick pressure (time to throw under 2.5 seconds). If there was ever a chance for the Dolphins to succeed with a third-string quarterback, it would be against this defense.

The Dolphins’ defense generates the ninth-most quick pressures and second-most regular pressures. Thirty-three quarterbacks have thrown over 40 passes, and Levis ranks 31st in EPA when pressured.

The Dolphins may be down to their third quarterback on the season, but the Titans are a bad football team, and this should be an ugly game on both sides. I like the Dolphins’ moneyline and spread.

My pick: Dolphins -2.5, Dolphins (-142)
