The Week 15 waiver wire is like every other week at the tight end position: There just isn’t much out there. Waiver adds at TE are very much an exercise in chasing your tail and hoping to catch it just once. With that in mind, here are some potential targets for fantasy football managers on the wire this week.
Top TE Waiver Wire Targets in Week 15
Isaiah Likely, Baltimore Ravens (55% Rostered)
This is cheating a bit because Isaiah Likely is over the rostership threshold, but there just aren’t any tight ends worth picking up.
Likely caught five of seven targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in Week 14. He is a featured part of the Ravens passing attack and should be rostered in far more leagues. If he’s still out there in your league, pick him up immediately.
FAAB Recommendation: Whatever it takes
Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers (10% Rostered)
This article was published before Monday Night Football. So, it does not include Tucker Kraft’s stats. Regardless, he’s played over 90% of the snaps since taking over as the Packers’ TE1 following Luke Musgrave’s injury.
More Waiver Wire Targets: RB | WR | QB
Kraft hasn’t done a ton, with games of 9.5 and 6.7 fantasy points. But he’s on the field and running a bunch of routes. That’s good enough for a TE streaming option.
FAAB Recommendation: 0-5%
Which TEs Should You Roster in Fantasy Football?
Should You Roster Likely or Kyle Pitts?
If you’ve been reading my stuff all season, you already know where I’m going with this. Some might call me a Kyle Pitts hater. I’ll embrace that moniker but will also remind those people that I am a realist.
Pitts just posted his third double-digit fantasy point game of the season. Hooray! I guess? He scored. Tight ends score touchdowns sometimes. It’s a thing that happens.
Pitts still saw just six targets and caught just three passes for 57 yards. It was more of the same for the seldom-used tight end. He just happened to find the end zone.
Likely has now seen 13 targets over his last two games. He saw six targets two weeks ago and seven last week. Pitts has seen 6+ targets a mere five times all season.
Likely has a better role in a better offense, and I would argue he’s a better player. I would very easily choose Likely over Pitts.
Should You Roster Kraft or Chigoziem Okonkwo?
Here we have two players who have yet to crest double-digit fantasy points all season. For Kraft, it’s understandable, as he’s been a starting tight end for all of two weeks. Chigoziem Okonkwo has been the Titans’ starter all season. What’s his excuse?
With that said, Okonkwo is coming off his two best games of the season. He only scored 8.5 and 9.4 fantasy points, but if he can do that more consistently, that’s usable in fantasy at the tight end position.

At the same time, Okonkwo’s seen his snap share decrease over the past month. Earlier in the season, he was around 75%. He’s been under 60% for the past four games.
Kraft has yet to really show anything, but he’s playing over 90% of the snaps. Given Kraft’s role in the offense and route participation rate, I’d rather take the chance on the guy on the field with the better passing offense. Give me Kraft.
