Both Swift and Kelce interacted with Allen’s Instagram post announcing the engagement.

Kelce was the first to respond, liking the post and telling the couple, “Congratulations!!!” followed by celebratory emojis.

Allen and Kelce have battled on the football field many times throughout their respective NFL careers, but few people have a better understanding of what Allen is going through right now than Kelce, given his experience dating Swift.

Of course, many fans were quick to reply to Kelce’s comment, saying things like “you next” and “your move” — nudging Kelce to follow suit and add a new kind of ring to his collection in the near future.

But Kelce wasn’t the only one to show support for the newly engaged couple.

Swift liked the post as well, which now has 1.9 million likes. Swift and Steinfeld have been friends for many years, so this isn’t a huge surprise. Steinfeld appeared in Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video and is part of her friend group dubbed the “Squad.”

Given their history, perhaps we’ll see a double date between Swift and Kelce and Steinfeld and Allen in the near future.

Allen popped the question to Steinfeld on Nov. 22, 2024, during Buffalo’s bye week, but the couple waited one week before announcing their engagement to the world.

How did Allen pop the question? He took a knee in front of the ocean, surrounded by beautiful flowers and candles, and Steinfeld said yes.

It’s unclear if the couple has already set a wedding date, as they are still in the very early stages of their engagement.

The couple have reportedly been dating since around May of 2023, shortly after Allen and his girlfriend of six years called it quits.

Steinfeld is an Academy Award-nominated actress and accomplished singer. Since her breakout role opposite Jeff Bridges in 2010’s “True Grit,” the 27-year-old has starred in over 20 feature films and multiple television shows.

Among her credits are the “Pitch Perfect” films and leading roles in Apple TV+’s “Dickenson” and the Marvel Disney+ series “Hawkeye.”

Steinfeld has also provided the voice work for a number of animated characters, including Gwen Stacy (AKA Spider-Woman) in 2018’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” and “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”

In 2021, Steinfeld was asked in an interview what she was looking for in a relationship. She was quite open and explained some of her criteria.

“I want a partner who is, first and foremost, loyal and honest but confident in themselves and able to do their thing while I do mine,” she explained. “It’s weird talking about it because it’s been in my head for so long.”
