Global icon Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are a power couple that have captured the world’s attention. Swift is a billionaire who’s coming off her record-breaking “Eras Tour,” and Kelce has helped the Chiefs win back-to-back Super Bowls while hosting one of the most successful podcasts and branching out into acting.
With Swift recently celebrating her birthday, it begs the question: how old are Swift and Kelce, and what is their age difference?
Travis Kelce Is Slightly Older Than Taylor Swift
Kelce was born on Oct. 5, 1989, in Westlake, Ohio, meaning he is 35 years old. Swift was born on Dec. 13, 1989, in West Reading, Pa., meaning she is 35 years old as well.
Taylor is just 69 days younger than Travis, so the age gap is a little over two months.
Last year, Swift celebrated her birthday in New York alongside some of her closest friends, including Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid, and Sabrina Carpenter. Unfortunately, Kelce couldn’t attend the party last year because he had practice.

However, this year, Kelce didn’t let the Chiefs’ busy schedule prevent him from giving Swift an unforgettable birthday. Even though Kansas City had a road game against the Cleveland Browns two days after Swift’s birthday, Kelce prioritized his girlfriend.
“This is a milestone birthday for Taylor, so he wants to make it extra special,” someone close to the couple told Page Six. “Travis has only let a few of those closest to him know what he has in store for Taylor because he doesn’t want to ruin any surprises.”
It turns out Kelce had been planning this out for a while.
“[Kelce has] been shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Taylor for quite a while now,” the insider said. “[He’s] not the type to leave these things to the last minute, so he’s been picking up items here and there for the past several months whenever he has a chance.
“Some of the gifts are things Taylor has casually mentioned she would like. Travis makes sure to always listen even when Taylor doesn’t realize he is.”
Many fans are hoping that Kelce will pop the question to the pop star.
Recently, when Kelce congratulated Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and actor Hailee Steinfeld on their engagement, Swifties responded to Kelce’s comment by saying things like “your move” and “you’re next!”
Kelce Reveals Swift’s Thoughts On His NFL Future
Talk is starting to swirl around Kelce and his plans after his playing career comes to an end, especially after Swift just ended her hugely popular “Eras Tour.”
There has been some speculation (and hints from Kelce) that he might seriously consider retirement in the near future.
Despite possible rumors of retirement, Kelce at least seems at the moment that he wants to play — and Swift supports that decision.
“She’s fully encouraging me to enjoy playing this game. She loves coming to Arrowhead and coming to the games and cheering for me so I got all the support in the world to keep chasing these dreams,” Kelece said on “The Stephen A. Smith Show.”
Kelce opened up more about his relationship with Swift during the interview.
“I’m enjoying all aspects of life. Me and Taylor are happy,” he said. “I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and that comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium.”
Kelce continued to gush about how having Swift by his side has made their relationship stronger.
“I think personally, that’s the beauty of being in a very strong relationship is that you get that support to be able to come in and focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you,” Kelce said. “That’s why I wanted to be at the concert, supporting her and being there for her, making sure she feels comfortable and supported in everything she’s doing in life.”
During the offseason, Kelce was on tour with Swift, even performing on stage with her at times.
“I think I’m as focused as I’ve ever been on my job and being the best player that I could possibly be week in and week out for this team,” Kelce said. “It’s because I don’t have to worry about things off the field.”
Kelce also mentioned in an interview earlier this week on “The Pat McAfee Show” that he always tries to support his girlfriend during her creative process.
“Oh, yeah. You know it,” Kelce said, adding that he’ll “never chime in” during Swift’s creative process. “But I’m here to support it,” he said. “I’m here to see where it can go.”
Kelce also hinted in that interview that Swift may be coming out with new music soon. Although their relationship has been on public display, unlike some couples in the spotlight, they have managed to survive and thrive.
