Since today is Taylor Swift's birthday, it begs the question: how old are Swift and Travis Kelce, and what is their age difference?

Global icon Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce are a power couple that have captured the world’s attention. Swift is a billionaire who’s coming off her record-breaking “Eras Tour,” and Kelce has helped the Chiefs win back-to-back Super Bowls while hosting one of the most successful podcasts and branching out into acting.

Travis Kelce Is Slightly Older Than Taylor Swift

Kelce was born on Oct. 5, 1989, in Westlake, Ohio, meaning he is 35 years old. Swift was born on Dec. 13, 1989, in West Reading, Pa., meaning she turned 35 years old today.

Taylor is just 69 days younger than Travis, so the age gap is a little over two months.

Last year, Swift celebrated her birthday in New York alongside some of her closest friends, including Blake Lively, Gigi Hadid, and Sabrina Carpenter. Unfortunately, Kelce couldn’t attend the party last year because he had practice.

However, this year, Kelce isn’t letting the Chiefs’ busy schedule prevent him from giving Swift an unforgettable birthday. Even though Kansas City has a road game against the Cleveland Browns two days after Swift’s birthday, Kelce is prioritizing his girlfriend.

“This is a milestone birthday for Taylor, so he wants to make it extra special,” someone close to the couple told Page Six. “Travis has only let a few of those closest to him know what he has in store for Taylor because he doesn’t want to ruin any surprises.”

It turns out Kelce has been planning this out for a while.

“[Kelce has] been shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Taylor for quite a while now,” the insider said. “[He’s] not the type to leave these things to the last minute, so he’s been picking up items here and there for the past several months whenever he has a chance.

“Some of the gifts are things Taylor has casually mentioned she would like. Travis makes sure to always listen even when Taylor doesn’t realize he is.”

It remains to be seen how Kelce and Swift will celebrate her 35th birthday, but it sounds like the Chiefs tight end is going all out.

Many fans are hoping that Kelce will pop the question to the pop star.

Recently, when Kelce congratulated Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and actor Hailee Steinfeld on their engagement, Swifties responded to Kelce’s comment by saying things like “your move” and “you’re next!”

Swift’s birthday isn’t the only holiday that could be impacted by the Chiefs’ regular-season schedule. Kansas City also has a road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day at 1 p.m. ET.

“Although he’ll be playing on Christmas and has an away game the weekend of Taylor’s birthday, Travis is going to make sure to take time out to celebrate both occasions with her,” said the insider.

Kelce Raves About Swift and the ‘Eras Tour’

On Dec. 8 in Vancouver, Swift concluded her hugely successful “Eras Tour.” Recently, Kelce raved about Swift and the tour on his podcast “New Heights” this week.

“Shout out to Tay, the unbelievable ‘Eras Tour’ has officially come to an end. It was almost two years…” Kelce said. “It’s insane. Absolutely insane. Over 10 million people in the stands over the course of it, cumulatively.

“Shout out to everyone that was a part of that show. Obviously, it’s her music and her tour and everything, but that was a full production, man. It was the best tour in the world because of a lot of people, but mostly because of Taylor.”

The 149-show “Eras Tour” became the highest-grossing tour of all time, earning over $1 billion in revenue.

It also produced an extremely successful film (“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour”), which brought in over $261.6 million globally, breaking the record for a concert film that was previously held by Michael Jackson’s “This Is It.”

The documentary also earned a nomination for the Golden Globes’ new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement prize.

Due in part to the success of the “Eras Tour,” Swift is now a billionaire. Her net worth has skyrocketed in recent years, from $550 million in 2020 to $740 million at the start of 2023 to $1.6 billion as 2024 comes to an end.

Kelce attended a number of Swift’s performances in the United States and abroad, even appearing on stage in London. During the song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” Kelce appeared in a suit and top hat, carrying Swift across the stage. After the performance, Kelce shared what was on his mind the entire time he was on stage.

“The one thing I told myself is do not drop the baby,” Kelce said. “Do not drop Taylor on your way over to this damn couch. I was gonna do some, like, some extra stuff… But the golden rule was do not drop Taylor. Get her to the couch safe, hold onto the baby… Coach (Eric) Bieniemy always used to say that ball has our dreams, goals, and aspirations. You do not drop that ball.

“Shout out to Tay for letting me jump on the stage with her. Who knows? Might not be the last time.”
