As the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills face off on the field during the AFC Championship game, cameras will be looking for Taylor Swift and Hailee Steinfeld in the stands. Is it possible the longtime friends will be sitting together?
Swift is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Steinfeld is engaged to Bills QB Josh Allen, so they will be rooting for opposing teams today. But given their friendship that dates back more than a decade, let’s examine whether they may sit together.
Will Taylor Swift and Hailee Steinfeld Sit in the Same Suite During Chiefs vs. Bills?
Last week, Swift made headlines by inviting WNBA superstar Caitlin Clark to sit in her box during the Chiefs’ Divisional Round victory over the Houston Texans.
This week, perhaps another A-lister will join Swift in her suite.
Swift is at Arrowhead Stadium for the AFC Championship Game. She showed up to the game with her parents. Will Steinfeld also join her in her suite?

Steinfeld has attended several Bills games this season, including the Wild Card Round against the Denver Broncos, where she was pictured in a custom-made Allen jacket.
Given her friendship with Swift and the fact that a win would put Allen and the Bills in the Super Bowl, many fans speculated that they might sit together in Swift’s box. However, early in the game, there is no sign of Steinfeld sitting with Swift.
While Swift is usually front and center at Chiefs games, Steinfeld prefers to keep a low profile while supporting Allen — she often isn’t shown on the broadcast at all. It’s possible she decided not to sit with Swift to stay out of the spotlight.
Swift and Steinfeld Go Way Back
Swift and Steinfeld first crossed paths in 2013 when the Grammy Award-winning singer attended the premiere of Steinfeld’s movie “Romeo and Juliet.”
The two celebs posed together for photos at the 2014 Golden Globes afterparty. Swift’s friend group became known as the “Squad,” and Steinfeld was one of the members.
In 2014, Swift invited Steinfeld to appear in her “Bad Blood” music video alongside Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Zendaya, Hayley Williams, Jessica Alba, Cindy Crawford, Lily Aldridge, and Ellen Pompeo, among others.
Steinfeld’s career was taking off around this time, and she accompanied the singer on her “1989” tour, joining the other “Squad” members onstage.
“Oh, my God. That, I’ve experienced nothing like [it],” Steinfeld told Vogue. “The whole show we were all super present so that we weren’t going to be missing our cues. So we went backstage and we all got dressed together — it was me, Lena, Gigi, and Lily — and Taylor’s up onstage doing her thing, no big deal, just another night.
“We were all telling each other: ‘Seriously, we’ve got to just take this all in.’ We got up onstage, we got off, and we looked at each other, and we were like, ‘What the hell just happened? I don’t remember a thing. I’m pretty sure I just blacked out.'”
Swift’s “Bad Blood” crew hit the Billboard Music Awards in 2015, with Steinfeld telling USA Today that the singer served as an inspiration for her.
“She sets such an incredible example for everyone — let alone just me — that she’s such an inspiration,” Steinfeld said. “I really do look up to her as an artist and as a person.”
However, the “Love Myself” singer made it clear the following year that she wasn’t as close to Swift as people thought.
“I think people think we spend a lot more time together than we actually [do],” Steinfeld said. “She’s amazing, though.”
While the two celebrities may not have been spotted together publicly lately, Steinfeld remains a fan of Swift.
“I’m literally chasing the dates of her Eras tour trying to figure out when I can make it,” she told People Magazine in 2023.
It’s worth noting that when Allen proposed to Steinfeld and the couple announced their engagement in November 2024, Swift and Kelce both liked Steinfeld’s engagement announcement post on Instagram.
